That sounds a lot to me, I don't do more than 10 and I bought a Posch. Surely you could afford an Oxdale or similar? Will last years.

The stated aim of the digital identity card is to help deal with the illegal immigration issue. Do you think it will succeed.

Dont forget to register your gear on Steves Security Verification ARBSAFE.CO.UK If you scroll down it shows that kit has been recovered.

I think that only leaves Jaqui from Pentangle.

Looking for flail for small tractor
Tree monkey 1682 replied to Alan Smith's topic in Forestry and Woodland management
Got to be a flail and not a McConnell chain swipe/ jungle buster? Flails can be good... can be shite especially if they come into contact with something hard .. -
Been dunno over to the tune of 7.5k hope the insurance covers it

With the curled up leaves in the first photo and bark I was thinking whitebeam, the shriveled bud spoils it unless it was bursting when felled. Chequer tree is now renamed along with many other sobus but I'll never remember Torminalis glaberrima

Does anyone else feel that Arbtalk has become Political Hate Talk?
Mesterh replied to Honda's topic in The Lounge
I dont think it has become a political hate forum at all. Yes some of the lounge threads can get a bit OTT at times but so what, Its the lounge section, ignore it if you must. The only way the forum can get back to the 'old days' of Arb/forestry/gear/woodwork talk if us as members move it in that direction by posting up new threads or resurrecting old ones. Forget the threads that annoy you, you wouldnt sit in a pub wasting your time listening to some shite on the next table if it didnt interest you. There are loads of members in here that are really helpful with vast amounts of knowledge, dont let a few posts/threads put you off. -

I've had one for 5 years and it still decent. Yes it has its teething problems but ive done some decent size trees and felt safe and comfortable -
If Eric Johnson smoked 40 Marlboro a day, he'd be an even more formidable bluesman.

After doing this job for over 30 years not unsurprisingly quite a few , the make up of the teams is often multi national 🤷♂️nothing I can do about that. Just finished a project with 48 divers from all over the globe on a site in St Vincent and the next one will be mobbing in Holland to work in German waters. No doubt the team will comprise of more than one nationality The two lads in question i met on a UXO job in Busum, they don’t side with me on anything in particular that’s just a daft assumption yet again. They did both however grow up in East Germany.

Any pics of the branch structure, zigzag patterns if its a lime.

How many people do you work with! Never mind that they seem to side with you on all matters arbtalk. Ask them if one handing an 020 is good practice or not. Im sure that me and the rest of the arbtalk community would be really interested in their opinions.

He does seem a bit obsessed, but I guess when all you do is sit in your little council job cubicle he's probably got very little in the way of prospects unless red ed taps him on the shoulder to join his little department of delusional dip hits and drum bangers. Probably barely knows what happens outside his front door, yet obsesses incessantly about about a continent separated by a ocean.

I’ll bet.

Pleased you raised that point and do they stop illegal workers which after all is the stated aim of all this shit ?? . You not think there are other things he could be prioritising??
-
Cheers, @Mick Dempsey. You have hit the nail upon the head.

I would be worried that the highest thing for the lightning to find would now be the house. I hope their lightning conductor is up to the task and the ground around it wet when the next storm comes in. Had a colleague that had a strike on their house and it was devastating.Their son in the house survived but was unconscious for minutes as was touching a metal surface; fire brigade got the fire out fast enough, not something that is easy in the countryside.

ID cards are still needed in Germany.
-
It is exactly the same.

I can introduce you to two lads I work with often, both from Rostock, they might have something different to say having grown up in the old East Germany. Not that you’d listen mind but they do give some idea of what state overreach is like.
