  1. Past hour
  2. thanks, i didnt think it looked very promising, but the tree owner was keen on the tree, so i thought id ask.
  3. As in an article 4 direction?
  4. Thanks all for your input. I probably didn't explain myself to clearly. The house is "new" to us. We bought it in June. The only covenant is the garages cant be coverted to resi, other than that, no covenants. Permited development rights have been revoked, but I presume that is just regarding the structure. I think I will just go for it, buy the tree it's £700 delivered and planted and take a punt that we are within our rights. Thanks all who took the time to comment.
  5. Make a good swingers/fetish venue ......
  6. You'd be better off being an electrician or plumber , not many tools or certs to make decent money .. local work, not weather dependant I'd say by the time u get up to speed you'd be a knacker, both getting experience and your body's ****************ed . If you became an agricultural engineer , hours can be shite ,pay isn't great unless you freelance , then u need the tools. Constructions just as wank with kier getting the dinghy dwellers in to push rates down and get projects in back on price . To be honest most farmers are buggered and have to do a second trade to keep a farm going ..
  7. And not that greater money ,railways has had it now
  8. I know of persimmon doing it on 1970s houses in Dorset, depends on who built them and if any caveat stands. All I was trying to do was ditch clean on a bit of land brought from Taylor woodrow ...complete no no . And u can't beat the nimbys and nosey hunts in dorset ....bear in mind 70% aren't from Dorset!!
  9. Today
  10. With the length of the auger, you have to be a bit careful not to bend them (from experience)

  12. Give ecology a go - I would wager you would already know more than most field surveyors. If you’re happy to travel and take anything that comes £20-25phr plus expenses will get you plenty of work, build up your experience and skill base get a couple of class licenses under your belt and charge more per hour/daily rate. The above is heavily seasonal so then spend the rest of the year gaining experience working in arb/forestry in a machine/working on a machine! I would take someone like yourself over a younger chap all day long, as you presumably know how to graft and have a true understanding of business. Good luck
  13. That's pretty much the nub of it- I appreciate that I'll be earning less until I've got more qualifications/experience. How much would I expect to earn as a second fiddle?
  14. Aye your right mate … you can make £200 a day a Tesco … I’m starting to question why I’m doing this , if there was a way out of the industry for me I’d probably take it.
  15. Always nice when Mick calls into the news thread.
  16. Personally, farming background get into anything mechanical or electrical and even agricultural dealership. Decent money upto 40/50k full time or somewhere in the middle of you want to keep up with the farming part time, it's effectively what I do with a bit of safety knowing I can always switch one to other if it does go south.
  17. KID WITH BASTARD HAIRCUT PRACTICES GETTING SENT HOME FROM SCHOOL NEWS: Klarna Paaymant, a particularly unpleasant 12 year old from Erith has began a grueling training program this week in readiness for being sent home from school for an inappropriate haircut on the first day of term. Klarna’s Mum Pippa, who is a 27 year old mother of 7, clinically dim and rougher than a junkies carpet, has also been busy rehearsing her lines in readiness for an expletive laden confrontation at the school gates with a terrified & beleaguered headmaster: “it’s F****** outrageous that my boy has been sent home from school and singled out like this just for showing a little bit of individuality” is the outburst that Pip is expected to open with, although this is subject to change depending on which breakfast wine she selects on the morning of the planned meltdown. Pip, who is so thick she failed her birth certificate, is expected to add, whilst sucking heavily on a watermelon vape: “I swear down on my outreach workers life, I’ll home school him if I have to & I’ll go on the front page of the News Shopper, with a face like a beekeepers apprentice, whilst wearing a strappy top which exposes not only my shoulder dolphin tattoo but also my spectacular pendulous cleavage” It is thought that Pip is experimenting with a number of different looks for maximum impact & outrage, ranging from the simple but classic swastika, shaved into the side of little Klarna’s head, to a complete pink Mohican and she’s toyed with the idea of a “Millwall blue” dyed top knot with “no one likes us” tastefully sheared into the back of her little prince’s head but it is thought that the shooting stars skin fade look as pictured above may also be considered. The Gazette will have reporters at the gates of Rydell High to catch all the first day of term action if we can be arsed.
  18. Suggest you look at hmt technology they recommend impact drivers for large bits I drill 20mm holes in Rsj with mine no pilot just straight through
  19. I bet you are right matty, but how much could our man expect per day ,on the books with no experience? Diligent or not,he is going to.be playing second fiddle for years.
  20. Could I suggest you make a few exploratory phone calls, after 4pm, to some of your local Arb/landscape contractors, to pop round or generally gauge the future demand for what your interested in doing? Sorry, I'm in Cheshire. From my own business perspective, the combination of a Farming background/grafting and a related degree with your maturity would easily outweigh your inexperience/qualifications issue. Farmers are generally savvy and resilient characters, in my experience. I would also agree with the points made by others, about considering a 'building trade' as being easier to start -and kinder to your body, tho.. Hope that helps some -and good luck with whatever path you choose to follow.
  21. He left this morning at 03:00 am to get to the yard to travel up to Charlton in London . A long walk through a tunnel , treading on god knows what , and stinking of dead and decaying animals to the walled cutting the had to clear . There was dead animals , with rats feeding off them glass bottles , needles , nappies , tampons , johnnys and general shyte all chucked over the wall from the houses above . A proper shit hole . Its mostly not like this obviously but this particular site was the pits .
  22. You can only blag it for so long, custodial sentences and the farcical term “ far right “ are being thrown around by moral cowards to try and stop all criticism. For me if 25000 illegals being stopped in the channel results in the prevention of one child being raped then it’s worth it regardless of how many of them might have a claim for asylum after escaping war torn France.
  23. I could see my days out in a place like this. Stoke-on-Trent Live WWW.FACEBOOK.COM It has the go-ahead to be turned into a holiday home
  24. AHPP

    Chickens?

Classic sharing bucket with five piece popcorn chicken.
  25. breaking point isn't far off now. maybe at the next child rape, maybe at the next school stabbings, starmer has branded anyone who speaks out against as far right,,, my guess is he will see real far right soon enough if this is allowed to continue. This country fought off a nazi invasion,,,,, for this?!!!! ffs.
  26. There is that Mike but also most 22 year olds haven’t got a days graft in them or think they are some super star climber wanting more money than you have on the job for wages. I think if your the hard working farm type you will probably be sought after by any employer wanting stable reliable staff.
