  1. Past hour
  2. Or receiving a machine that’s about a foot long.
  3. I can just see that ending with you being a grand down in some Chinese account and receiving nothing.

    Oh sod off

Jailing of Sycamore Gap pair a ‘reminder’ to rely on tree care professionals – AA WWW.FORESTRYJOURNAL.CO.UK Former friends Adam Carruthers and Daniel Graham have begun a four-year and three-month prison...

I meant I had only just read (red) it. I’m a reckless reactionary like that, Mick. Harmlessly on this occasion but reckless nevertheless.
  6. What is the most stressful job to have? Working at the Jobcentre - coz even if you get sacked you still have to go in the next day.
  7. Klou supplied it with bollard and capstan mate. That Microbull hydraulic capstan does look handy. You can achieve the same effect by backing up the machine though, although not always ideal. 96ef8a93-70b1-4510-b7cd-333483329708.mp4
  8. It's basically putting pressure on Zelensky to make a deal - a third of Ukraine probably. The West wasn't prepared to shed blood over this, only give up some supplies
  9. Quite possibly, does this machine have a purge bulb? If so have you connected the pipes up in the correct orientation? remember it’s a purge so pulls fuel from the carb and dumps back to tank, not pumping fuel into the carb.
  10. Confused Stubs, what do you mean? ah, I interpret “just read it” as “I have just read it” You interpret it as “just read (reed) it” Past and present have the same conjugation.

Could be wrong Mick ( I often am ) but I think he was saying you read it , possibly ?
  12. Looks stunning.
  13. Could you post a link to the article please? I can’t for some reason. Then separate the actual statement the AA put out, which only says to used approved guys at the end, the main thrust of it is about heritage trees (and the public appreciation of them) and the difference the terminology of tree surgeon/arborist thing. Interesting that you hadn’t read the article when you started the thread. They don’t even name themselves, just recommend using someone affiliated to a professional body.
  14. Unsurprisingly it seems Trump and Putin got nowhere .
  15. Hello, would anyone have a Lucas mill they'd be interested in selling? A 10-30 or an 8-30 would be perfect. Nooie
  16. It almost makes you want to try one, how bad can they be for that much?!😂
  17. That’s exactly what I’d like, the idea of a bollard is ideal-did you fabricate that yourself? @AHPP I can’t believe they’re no longer stocked either, a chap near me has one and loves it
  18. I’ve got two Damson trees, different varieties as one is always about two weeks later so I can spread out the picking.
  19. Today
  20. Some of the Greenheart I’ve been milling over the last few months. Been taking them down to 200x200 mm. Not the easiest to mill for sure. Anyone selling a Lucas mill?
  21. I looked at one of these online, they have a video of it running. It looks painstakingly slow. My CS100 is significantly quicker, but lacks the feed roller and anti stress. I did request a demo, living near Carlisle, nothing came of it though and ai didn't follow up. The GL&D looks a a far better small chipper, also double the price...
  22. Nice. Our tree is laden now, first decent crop on it for years. I was thinking to start picking this weekend.
  23. Ali claims to be selling mini skids, mini diggers, mini loaders and mini telehandlers for under a grand, free delivery. This can't be real, right?
  24. They are. They're at the yard but I'll get back to you on Monday about that.
  25. All foresters i know are very bad at maintenance of machines !
  26. They alloy bashlins? If so please can you let me know...... from the very bottom of the bit you put your foot in, what is the distance up to the tip of the spike? I take it on short gaffs? Want to see how far up the spike is. I tried ally gecko years ago and didn't like for that reason. My steel bashlins the spike is very close to the level of the bottom of your foot on short gaffs. Love them
