  1. Past hour
  2. Quick 2 min phone call to them, 'whats happened to my order when am I getting it' would answer your questions and probably push it theough it it hasn't been sent out.
  3. With practice I can cut grass neatly with a massive cc engine. For small areas you can use half revs but its not great for the engine long term. Try thinner string. With the bump head, try having the bump bit rubbing on the ground as a guide, but not too hard so more string comes out.
  4. Bubble Wrap, Cellophane, Crock-Pot, Escalator, Frisbee, Hoover, Jacuzzi, Kleenex, Post-it Note, Styrofoam, Thermos, Tupperware

  6. Today
  7. Looking at it id go in tripple , maybe quadruple the price, the job i looked at that was a pound a whip was easy, soft ,clear no roots ground and no coming back either . I did a job once like yours in staffs, (timberhonger) going was shite ,3inch of peat then the rest was a mix of quartz and roots .. the stumps weren't cleared off site and the aim was to plant 1500 whips a day ! Wasn't doable . Have you got much else on in the was of work . To be fair the trust that asked me to do the planting showed me other quotes not named , for 2 row hedgerow with natural clumping and a zig zag pattern, random clusters of trees 350m, was 2k and 3k respectively .guarded ,staked and no stock replacement either Not worth ****************ing around with
  8. Morning all, My usual Friday off. Bit of office work then maybe go for a walk with wife. Dog can’t go far so she will stay home while we are mindful of ice - hips get weaker with age. Safer up a tree.
  9. Happy Friday Arbtalkers 😉
  10. A light dusting of snow in the village, smoke rising from the chimneys making a very pretty scene that probably hasn’t changed much in a 100 years. Finished work for this week so I am out pricing in the morning then pottering on with a bit of maintenance this afternoon, remember It’s poets day guys. 👍
  11. Cold or warm we always turn up, good kit, good guys, good attitude and get it done!👍
  12. Morning, nice 1 Doug! You had me at cafe! Mick fare play to still climbing! -7 I think outside, blitzed through my felling job yesterday in the snow so a day of village jobs getting knocked off the list then the dentist at 3.30pm. Have a good day guys.
  13. I had the same incredible service from Clark Forest, and it’s long way all the way to Hastings with 50l of Supatack. Chainsawbars are always spot on, Gustarts supplied my AUS pole set in good time, never used Skylands but only heard good things about them. We do tend to just hear about bad service and gripes these days so it’s good to give the good ones a pat on the back. 👍

  16. Sorry about this, but I seem to have developed C.S.P.S.
  17. Morning all. Icy here again, -4 but not feeling as cold as it has. Having an impromptu couple of days off, using up the hols before the year ends. Was pleased yesterday, my recently acquired pick up had an MOT, a pass with no advisories, good going at 8yr old. Think my mate that found it has done well again. Planning a me day today, cafe, barber, feet up! Have a good one folks.
  18. Sometimes it amazes me how quick delivery can be. I once ordered two drums of chain oil from Clark forest, in Scotland, in the afternoon and the oil was on my door step at 10 the next morning. It was like someone had got my order amd driven it straight down to me in porlock.
  19. No notification from honeys saying they have been dispatched.

  22. Anyway all out for 172.
  23. I look back down the stairs and think that ! 😀
  24. Mornin Stubs et al. Bit of snow on the ground, easy fallen oak to do, should be done by lunchtime. 4 and a half hours up the tree yesterday, so a bit knackered. Do you ever look back on a job and think “how did I manage to do that?” Starting a bit later as we’re local, so watching The Ashes, which isn’t going well!
