  1. Yesterday
  2. Only ever met him in passing really - the social thing had a lot of people hanging on his every word to properly chat, so he was playing to the crowd a bit. The filming was on one of the big stationary engines around Manchester, just him, and 3 or 4 film crew, engine operator and me, my old man and brother so he didn't have to play to the crowd, picked up the necessary bits for the film on the engine pretty quick, started it up, knew his stuff at least. I got the feeling that he hadn't researched what he was looking at before he went too much. Yes, would have been good to get a quiet drink with him.
  3. Here is a handy little graphic for you: How many each side have killed over the years preceeding 2023. Israel have now killed over 10x the number that were killed, I am not sure if that is a justifiable level of response.
  4. So in your summing up you have not one bit of empathy for all the Palestinians murdered by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank. Of course the UN says the settlements are illegal, but what with the UN being in with Hamas and all they would say that wouldn't they. Talking to you and trying to reason with you about this - I feel like you're on the side of oppressors, completely brainwashed. Like our government who banned Palestine Action. Of course Palestine Action and similar groups want to hit out at anything they think has helped arm Israel. Israel is to my mind a vicious apartheid state. I'm like so what about the murders commited by Hamas, honestly. The reason is because for decades all Palestinians have been treated terribly by Israel. Israel steals their land - it's a fact. If the news reports of de facto annexation are made up, then maybe they made up the whole war.

  6. I am but he is anyway. He's so boorish and base. Flicking fag ends off high heights like it's somehow funny. Strutting round with that anaemic antique hooter because he's in charge. Six vowels in every word. Every sentence somehow profound or you're an idiot for not being on board. Cult of not much personality.
  7. Wouldn't like to put him on the spot. He'll chime in if he wants to.
  8. Or if you're on a budget and don't mind a bit of hard labour then just go at it with a Slasher / Brush Hook, long reach Bill Hook. Plus a pair of Loppers. Plus some thick leather gauntlets.

  10. who ? the person who used to work for him
  11. Contrarian
  12. As Steve said - those battery strimmers are for a bit of light edging around domestic lawns. I would be attacking that lot with a combination of long reach hedge cutter and a brush cutter with a mulching blade
  13. as been said petrol brush cutter i would put a mulching blade on it as well the one you have is like a kid's toy
  14. Someone on here used to work for him. I think he's dreadful.
  15. Wordle 1,586 5/6 ⬛🟨⬛⬛⬛ 🟨⬛🟩⬛⬛ 🟩🟩🟩⬛⬛ 🟩🟩🟩⬛⬛ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I was stuck on line 4. But I wasn't.
  16. You lucky bugger. I would've loved to have had a look around his yard and workshop. Followed by a pint or three. He must have had many a fine story.
  17. It's spelled whorethorn btw.
  18. As above, rent a petrol brush cutter >45 cc with a metal blade attached.
  19. When I moved insurers, after Aviva didn't pay out on a stolen L200, I tried nfu, they wanted a certificate of conformity for my tipping body. A local engineer had made it but certificate available or implied. Without such certificate nfu couldn't quote. Went with Cornish mutual in the end.
  20. Amazing. They're like a cross between a Jester's hat and an amputee Starfish.
  21. Just chilling

  23. I also used to assume the UN were impartial. Sadly they are not. I’m afraid their links to Hamas mean their opinion is irrelevant. And just to remind you, what exactly did Hamas expect Israel would do when over a thousand of their citizens were brutally slaughtered two years ago by an organisation who have the publicly stated aim of killing all Jews? What did Britain do to Germany in response to the Blitz? Do you know how many civilians were deliberately slaughtered by the British in an attempt to gain the upper hand?
  24. Mark J

    UPS Scam?

Who wrote that? Where did you copy and paste it from?
  25. No use for trees but worth asking the question.
  26. That strimmers suitable for grass and nothing more I’m afraid
