    Mast

I guess other people have noticed that it's a massive Mast Year. Round here the Oaks and Horse Chestnuts are absolutely loaded. (Well, most are on the ground now. Or in our house, courtesy of my son.) Same with everything else, trees and shrubs that bear fruit/nuts/seeds. Fruit trees have all had a bumper crop. They're all earlier than normal also. Looking forward to a plentiful Chestnut harvest in a few weeks hopefully. Anyone got any better photos? I took these rather underwhelming ones on a short walk around this afternoon.
  4. ive heard it will make medical care better ??
  5. Ahh, GarethM, glad you are here, apologist for the pedos. When talking about Epstein raping 11, 12, and 13 years olds, just to remind the world of your opinions: "Grow up, you damn well know the difference between underage sex with a child and physical rape"; also GarethM thinking that having sex with a child is different to raping them. Apologist for the paedophiles. Like I say your political ideology buys you some serious breathing space on here. At least people’s daughters are not being brought being dragged into the mix. That’s at least something. Context 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ When you accused SP of being a Muslim rape apologist, did you mean that? Or was that "misspoke"? As it's a shitey thing to attempt to tar someone with. Do you agree that GM is paedo apologist, or do you reckon he "misspoke"? He seems to have "doubled down", so I'm keen to hear your learned opinion.
  6. I can’t store it Dan, the ram is too high.
  7. Quality as always mate.
  8. The big question is, do they combine the asda reward card and the tesco clubcard into one entity though? If not then im out. Serious question as ive not looked into al this id card stuff, well I have in the sense that from what ive heard it will make medical care better but thats as much as I know. But what are the downsides to it all?

  10. What saws have you got? If you haven't got a 261 or 550 then you should get one, both good general purpose saws which cut fast on a 15". Personally I run 16" bar on 261, I'm very happy with the balance on that and see no need to go down to 15".
  11. France has had compulsory ID cards since 1940 They have NOT STOPPED: 1) the invasion by Germany 2) the entry by illegal immigrants in to France 3) the terrorist attacks by internal and external terrorist cells!
  12. That sounds a lot to me, I don't do more than 10 and I bought a Posch. Surely you could afford an Oxdale or similar? Will last years.
  13. The stated aim of the digital identity card is to help deal with the illegal immigration issue. Do you think it will succeed. Government expected to announce digital ID cards for UK adults in bid to curb 'illegal migration' APPLE.NEWS Digital ID cards are expected to be announced by Keir Starmer as early as Friday, in the...
  14. Dont forget to register your gear on Steves Security Verification ARBSAFE.CO.UK If you scroll down it shows that kit has been recovered.
  15. I think that only leaves Jaqui from Pentangle.
  16. Got to be a flail and not a McConnell chain swipe/ jungle buster? Flails can be good... can be shite especially if they come into contact with something hard ..
  17. Been dunno over to the tune of 7.5k hope the insurance covers it
  18. With the curled up leaves in the first photo and bark I was thinking whitebeam, the shriveled bud spoils it unless it was bursting when felled. Chequer tree is now renamed along with many other sobus but I'll never remember Torminalis glaberrima
  19. I dont think it has become a political hate forum at all. Yes some of the lounge threads can get a bit OTT at times but so what, Its the lounge section, ignore it if you must. The only way the forum can get back to the 'old days' of Arb/forestry/gear/woodwork talk if us as members move it in that direction by posting up new threads or resurrecting old ones. Forget the threads that annoy you, you wouldnt sit in a pub wasting your time listening to some shite on the next table if it didnt interest you. There are loads of members in here that are really helpful with vast amounts of knowledge, dont let a few posts/threads put you off.

  21. I've had one for 5 years and it still decent. Yes it has its teething problems but ive done some decent size trees and felt safe and comfortable
  22. If Eric Johnson smoked 40 Marlboro a day, he'd be an even more formidable bluesman.
  23. looking at the leaves laying around could be Sorbus torminalis.
  24. After doing this job for over 30 years not unsurprisingly quite a few , the make up of the teams is often multi national 🤷‍♂️nothing I can do about that. Just finished a project with 48 divers from all over the globe on a site in St Vincent and the next one will be mobbing in Holland to work in German waters. No doubt the team will comprise of more than one nationality The two lads in question i met on a UXO job in Busum, they don’t side with me on anything in particular that’s just a daft assumption yet again. They did both however grow up in East Germany.
  25. Any pics of the branch structure, zigzag patterns if its a lime.
