  2. Nothing about cutting brambles is pleasant. I find if you go at them too aggressively with the brushcutter, they get tangled round the shaft. I like using an up/down motion to slowly pulverize them. Also reversing a flail mower into bramble bushes seems to work quite well!
  3. Yes but brush cutting predominantly bramble, even with a mulching blade, is frustrating. If you can wait for stuff to die down after cutting (or roll it up) then a sharp, long handled slasher is effective. Follow up with a mower.

    The Grove School

This is a school where we need wood chip for our outdoor learning space. Access must be arranged by calling in advance as we can only accept a limited number of tips on specific days.
  8. Yes I do, the original post was way out of context. Same as adding something to the end of the above, there has to be someone from the police as well as social work and every other agency involved, I think that someone from the judiciary is probably wrong to have as the chair but they should be impartial.
  9. Indeed. Calling them out as cnuts is the easy bit; stopping them from being cnuts is harder. Thames Water given lowest one star rating for repeated sewage spills WWW.BBC.CO.UK England's water companies had their worst combined score since assessment began in 2011.

  12. Elon Musk says he needs $1 trillion to control Tesla's robot army. Yes, really. ELECTREK.CO Elon Musk, who's spent years engaging in questionable public advocacy, just said he wants to "control" an "enormous robot army."

    Cofton Gardens

Got plenty of land to tip it onto, just need a call first me to open the gate, please check before arriving, as it's shared access and will need to check it's not in use. Drive is big enough for other tree surgeons, not suitable for lorries.
  14. Plus spares availability will be none existant. You’ll need at the very minimum face/ear protection, decent boots, thick trousers or proper ppe. if you’ll be maintaining this area a lot the worth spending the £ - buy cheap buy twice. if it’s a one off clearance, either hire the right machine or get someone in to do it
  15. What model UFKES did you have?
  16. It would certainly be an upgrade from what you have, however thats a ridiculously cheap price for a petrol strimmer so wouldnt vouch for its reliability or performance!
  17. Cheers all. I think it was just lucky timing, a chap I spoke to down south said his machine was 22+ vat for the same setup, so I’m hoping it’ll turn out well. Definitely a start towards getting fat sitting in a cab all day😂

  19. Morning, dry outside but still dark. Heading to physio just after 8am, breakfast rolls and coffee from the bakers then a meeting a site Robo meeting at 10am. Yesterday turned out a cracking day, got the mog chipper greased and tightened some belts.
  20. Not the UFKES. Some really poorly thought out parts on ours (gone now); oil cooler fan in a stupid place and gets smashed off.
  21. Just looking for some advice or any angles I haven’t covered. We are in the market for a larger chipper, something to up production on site. We currently have a Tp250 behind a tractor which can fill a van in sub 5 mins but driving a tractor to site isn’t always practical, plus I’d rather the tractor was on a trailer or winch. I’ve been looking at these three brands, 12” or 15”would be enough for us as long as they have a larger engine for speed. Just wondering if anyone had any input? Or one for sale?
  22. Good Morning Rubbish kip. Woke several times. Each time I could hear constant rain. Not heavy, just steady. No Donner und Blitzen yet here Have a safe and dry one.
