Still don't make up for a under par production quality of the saw sled and machine screws. By the way, it's not really possible to set up precisely if you're on your own. The advertisement showing an ultra portable and easy set up is false. It takes a lot of time and helping hands. All in all, the quality of the simplest components make me feel unsafe using this sawmill alone in the woods!

I disturbed some with a leaf blower while on the roof of mum and dad's house earlier this year. Was tied on to the chimney. Had to start thinking along the lines of unclipping so I could jump down onto the patio if needed. Massively unfunny.

I know! Could have been a lot worse.

I take it all back, rib tickling stuff!

Your mate was lucky.

Dropped a big oak this morning with a GRCS and 5:1 twin pull. A minute later Ross Smith got nailed by hornets on his arm and nose. Nest in a cavity about 25’ up, which he had climbed past to set the lines. Called in a mate who does pest control, no option but to spray them. You can just make out the larvae wriggling in the combs. Back tomorrow to bust up the stem. 80058ebd-8bd5-4b29-bf3a-ecb44a731694.mov

Agreed, not an ounce of wit or humour, just embarrasing infantile crap. I give Oldfeller nul points on the joke thread.

Being a valtra think they all come with engine block heaters as standard. -

I agree hydraulic oil degrades with heat. I was unhappy if it got over blood temperature. Fancy thermostats something extra to go wrong. In cold weather I'd stall one of the services at tickover to warm it up and prevent cavitation. Cavitation kills aluminium gear pumps in short order. -
Love it, that's a great idea.

Interesting.. Had similar. Alarm goes off in cab at 70⁰c. 46 hydraulic oil isn't ideally supposed to get that hot.. 60-70 according to JD but still strikes me as awful hot. Blown out all rads, replaced tank return AND transmission filter. Now maxxing out at 60⁰c. There is a thermal valve aka thermostat which is supposed to get the oil up to temperature faster but it might have a check valve which will stick open with debris and bypass the oil cooler entirely - not good. -
Not sure where to post this, all scrap wood from neighbours builders waste, 4 new 100mm screws, 2 chair legs, 3 pallets and the toys rescued from the beach.

It's the sprung tensioning mechanism. Even has a little internal catch for remounting the bar. All well and good until it breaks.
-
Not really, just seen essentially the same joke posted on here about 100 times in the last week - different images but the same - mix it up, keep it fresh, else will see a post and just scroll past assuming it is the same old-same old
