  4. Morning, dry and cold here! A day of excercise for me, too much time driving and sitting in the digger, off the saw and climbing is great but seriously loose fitness and strength as well as the pain and injuries. So dog walks, pram walks then filling the log shed.
  5. Today
  6. Morning all . Wind and rain here for a change !
  7. Yesterday
  8. I’ve got one portion of pheasant curry left and just about enough will to eat it if I space it out. Had a couple of days mainly drinking wine but also grazing on flatbreads and butter for a change. Put a finely sliced red onion and some cheese in this one. Just plain flour, salt and water for the bread. No kneading to speak of, no proving, roll it out with the last bottle.
  9. Evening gents, been away early then unhappy baby from 5pm -9pm pretty much every night this week. On a 1km Rhoddy clearing job about 8m wide. Getting there. So much old dead crap underneath that we’re not chipping so we’re horsing on and I’ll sort that smash with Robo at the end. Not allowed to use mulcher for main blitz, all chip away apart from a few loads in wet bits.
  10. It's the way the story goes. Thanks.
  11. He comes across to me as a bit of a knob tbh. Total farmer-style brash-pile!

  14. Eh i went to see Leonard Cohen at Edinburgh castle about 15 yrs ago,, only thing that slightly excited me about the night was his backing singers, the rest of it was boarder line shite TBH, went with a women who was mad on him, she got the tickets and booked the hotel, and all i can say is what a rip off it was, £48 to park a car for 16hrs in hotel car park, £12 for a breakfast that consisted of not so much for the money back then, first and last time for every thing and this was bothe,,
  15. He needs a shredder but wanted a chipper. A colleague got a tad excited and off we went! I had been told that they would have good stuff to chip but their idea was different from mine! But, when you could get to feed that shite in, it went well! Blades goosed in the day though..... you should have seen the blades and pads from his percolator! Wrecked and bloody expensive! Twice the price of ours!
  16. Could be right Zelvova serrata.
  17. Might be an elm, no clue to which one though.

  22. I called HMRC about a tax refund on my private pension lump sum. Yes, I am that old and it feels rather strange too. I was on the phone for 52 minutes in all. The lass dealing with me was quite pleasant and helpful so when she offered to sign me up to the HMRC A.I voice recognition service I declined because and I told her, I value the human contact at the end of the phone. Now, without resorting to A I, can someone please i.d this twig ? Medium size street tree here in Liffré Unfortunately the commune has blown the leaves away so no clues there. I was thinking a variety of elm.
