  2. Yep. Disgraceful. We leak and lose 19%, in Holland they only lose 4%. ""One of the results of this asset-stripping model is that leakage rates remain disgracefully high. While the hosepipe bans now being introduced around the nation are likely to save between 3% and 7% of the water we would otherwise use, 19% of the water piped through the network is lost through leakage. Compare this with the publicly owned Dutch system, which loses 4%. For the same reason, no major reservoir has been completed here since 1992.""
  3. reducing the ever increasing load might help too, makes little sense building more and more housing and expecting an already inadequate infrastructure to cope with it, it does of course increase consumption which in turn makes fat cats,,, fatter.
  4. -And loads of leaks everywhere .
  5. High water bills, filthy rivers – and now drought. This is England’s great artificial water crisis of 2025 | George Monbiot | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM In its refusal to nationalise water, it’s clear the government operates in the interests of private capital and not of the country... Not much to disagree with there. (Other than the author maybe). We've been stitched up like kippers by these water companies. And still Labour refuse to nationalise critical infrastructure.
  6. Serious water pollution in England up 60%, government says WWW.BBC.CO.UK Last year had the highest number of pollution events by water companies ever recorded.
  7. you have been asked to contribute a photo or two to assist in people understanding your problem more, surely you have heard of the often used phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words" so far you have ignored those requests.
  8. Because they can take pictures, usually.

  11. Not selfish, human nature, common sense call it what you want. I’d 100% say the same and quite frankly the contract between the taxpayers and the government is broken. The public sector is probably quite happy but the private sector is utterly disillusioned with how things are going and how our taxes are being wasted. The Jobs they will take are where the money laundering gangs put them.
  12. My comment was not really aimed at you Lily, no offence. Honestly this garden/border dispute has lost all interest for me. I am not sure what more can be said about it
  13. Well Oldfeller I recall said member commenting on your lack of time on the forum, despite this you seem to have sussed the way things work here very quickly 👍👍
  14. so the cummulative total of illegal immigrants currently in the UK est 0.8 to 1 million. Every working person (above the lower income tax threshold) has had to work some hours to keep these people alive. If the government said to me - 'are you happy for some of your tax to pay to keep illegal immigrants alive, or would you rather let them die?' I would say tax me just slightly less and let them die. Selfish I know, but these illegals are not people I want to work to keep. They don't take up fruit and veg harvesting when granted asylum, taxi driver maybe
  15. There's already a low wall which was part of the old farm building that the boundary was taken from. I have no idea why my neighbour thinks he owns 3 metres past this wall. So far he has offered no proof of ownership, we both have the original conveyances, sight plan and our land registry title plans.
  16. I'm not sure how a camera can help?
  17. Fencers, like most tradies won’t get involved in border disputes. They certainly won’t like being considered as ‘muscle’ for one side or the other.
  18. much like your tedious repetitive posts after you've scoured the internet to discredit the US president, and completely ignoring any questions about just about any other subject, including the total clusterfeck of the current uk government, full of fools, liars and clowns who cant even agree with members of their own party, while the rest of the circus that seem to be making things worse at every turn, and of course everything is the previous parties fault. and I prophesies when the current twats get kicked out they will be back to telling everybody how they almost sorted out the country but were prevented from doing so by others. round and around it goes, and soon everyone will be aware of where it goes. further down the shitter. as I stated previously, the very thing you're so quick to accuse others of committing is often describing your own traits, and yet you overlook that.
  19. Oi oi then Alfie . Hows it hang'in ?
  20. 😂😂😂😂😂
  21. Ah blagger is in full swing Loose ends or even oldfellers saw question ??
  22. Still using Rye oils finest👍, Barrel lasts about six months, can’t say there is any noticeable difference between that and the more expensive brands. Bob
  23. You implied it, JohnsonD. A quick edit to avoid your next tedious posts: Read back what you have written in the last week regarding the NHS, and if you cannot see your implications then enrol in a night school for English Comprehension lessons.
