  1. Past hour
  2. I am an avid cyclist, I used to ride an old 80's road bike with panier rack and paniers. Chainsaw boot in either one, a 1.2litre flask and my lunch and clothes. Soon gets easier, I had some steep hills, then I moved so I had to crawl up to the highest point in Somerset on route to work. As my step dad once said "no better drug than fitness", he was an avid toker! A set of padded shorts underneath could be beneficial if you find your getting a sore arse. Mind you if you don't cycle at all it will take a little while before your arse hardens up and things get easier. O and go for padded shorts over a padded seat, the shorts move with you where as the seat doesn't. Bloody E Bike, What's the matter with you ya wet blanket!
  3. Like Fort Knox !
  4. Said in an Andrew Sachs Spanish accent, "I know nothing!"
  5. In my 30s I commuted by GT road bike from South Croydon to Peckham, East Dulwich and Southwark for a few years except for Nights. Overall I enjoyed it (23 mile round trip) though clambering aboard at 4.40am in 5C rain was a touch bracing.
  6. We are looking at getting a new forwarding trailer to go behind a Valtra 6750 (115hp). What are people's experiences with electric controls? I typically like simple so hydraulic is appealing, but moving the valve block can get a bit tedious. We will likely be going for a budget trailer with steering drawbar 10-12t, like a botex or Farma. Be interested to know what people have and their experiences.

  8. Wetherspoons- 1.79 a pint of ruddles which I would drink out of choice anyway. Range of bitters up to around 3.00 I think. Basic lager is also cheap. But that involves a bus into town and mixing with a wide cross section of society (that’s me being pc!)
  9. Today
  10. It'll be interesting to see if any of the suggested pressure on China by the Trump the other day at his meeting with Xi will bear fruit. He's offering tariff concessions to China (and India) in return for them buying less of the Russian oil that is essential for Putin to finance his vicious little war.
  11. Hmm.. sounds worrying! I had been meaning to go and trial a Power-up unit, at MDL in Carlisle, in the absence of any useful user feedback on here.. I spoke to one Scottish landscaper who still liked his unit, after a year. So I travelled up to the Carlisle yard and saw their demo unit, but there wasn't any branches available for a working trial, that time. Whilst the tracking controls seemed rather counter intuitive, it actually otherwise appeared to be a fairly well thought out design(!), with the option of a Loncin engine instead of B&S powered version. I think a year of hard work is the only way to get a clue to it's performance. It makes a very good value for money offering, on paper only, perhaps!? Keep us posted with your progress, please?

It's mental. A man should be able to call into the pub for a couple of pints on the way home without it costing an eighth of his take home that day. People should be in regularly, keeping up with neighbours and local affairs. 16:00 - 19:00. £2 a pint. Lager or bitter. Possibly cider in summer.
  13. It's in account settings, not profile.
  14. I cant believe chard is so much bearing in mind thes bugger all around chard and nothing to do.
  15. Yes , I have looked under my profile whee I would expect it to be but no mention of signatures there.
  16. He could try doing the same thing he did a few weeks ago.
  17. I don't know, not had one here, perhaps we must ask @Steve Bullman how you change a signature?
  18. Essex - In my local of town pub my usual bitter is 4.20 but weekly guest ales range up to 5.50 for sub 5% and up to 6.50 for stronger/specials. I believe lagers are all 5-6 a pint
  19. He is of course the wrong colour, born in the wrong country, and has the wrong amount of wealth for that to happen.
  20. I bought some excellent over centre ones for a trailer I built nearly twenty years ago. About four quid each. Brilliant things. Up there with my happiest purchases of all time. Come on then Pete. Goss goss goss.
  21. Take it off and try it, it's only a five minute job. My 036 has a two piece muffler and I took it off to drill the baffle. Don't know if it makes any more power but it's no louder.
  22. True, but why would he pay £12m to a person he had "never met"? I think they should make him answer questions in the states if he's implicated in the Epstein Files, then throw in jail with the other nonces. Interesting that those who protest outside asylum hotels haven't taken their flags to Windsor to intimidate a member of a grooming gang.
  23. here we go, i found a picture you could easily add some

Caz and like a couple of pre supper drinks in The Brewshed in Retford, a round is usually sub £13. Went to Perry Street Club near Chard and two and a half San Miguel's and a glass of red was £15.70! How much is pub drinks near you?
