    Past it???

Similar ish I do feel like lantra should be more definitive about the fact it does not qualify you to do anything. Re part p -if you don’t do your due diligence ahead of handing over the money you’re asking for it (Funnily enough when I left school I did get my electrical qualifications). I did like your original comment though the ecology industry is awash with money and not a lot of experts to go around - company’s will happily charge clients £65 ph + expenses to oversee dormice/newt habitat removal, providing feild surveyors who have never seen either of the species 🤣

    Past it???

Hi John, Jon here…. Essentially yes, these are to teach arb guys the likely signs of bats roosting in trees (good practise guides), by no means are they a qualification that would allow you to write a report or give chargeable advice. Not knocking the courses as a whole, in a way they’re a good thing but if it were me and I had a interest in ecology find a consultant who you can go out with you for a few hours - he teaches you about bats and you teach him how to climb proficiently.

    Past it???

This is a lot harder than it sounds…. Essentially you will need to become an ecologist - so back to full time studying however that’s not to say other routes within this field aren’t possible. You will need to get a decent amount of volunteering under your belt before anyone will give you references to apply for a bat class license. If it’s of interest dm me as I hold class licenses for a few different species

    Past it???

Go and get your cpcs, lifting ops and subbie to company’s….. lots of money to be made especially if you get into the ecology market!
  5. Cheers, majority of the time would be over 100km - It would be me driving but I think I’ll have to go the full legal route as a lot of motorway driving (as tempting as it is) - this isn’t a problem just never had to before. C1 banished would be a help!
  6. Get yourself a decent fishing bedchair - lovely to sleep on (trakker wide boy are my fave) and folds up nice! thanks for the responses btw
  7. It’s a beauty that’s for sure. Having a look now they do a GVW 5t model which would mean I was legal, if I went that route would I need cat c and a tachometer? sounds like uprated axle would defo work but as you say… slightly risky. Just want to keep the set up tidy and kit secure…. Never actually had my machines nicked it’s always the trailers!
  8. Apologies should of stipulated - machine will weigh in 1.5t (will need to include a few maintenance tools, spare hydro oil etc), Width wise 1.2m. Nice MAN TGE!
  9. I’ve used an iPad for a while now, especially the notes app - can add pictures, locations and a table. On detailed/large site works I record voice notes and then listen and type up when I’m in the office (got sick of trying to decipher shit hand written notes).
  10. Just looking for some advice, as a company we tow robo-flails, chippers etc nationwide. I’ve always liked the idea of being able to transport my green climber inside a van (better security, no need for trailer etc). As I see it I would need to up grade the suspension and get cat c onto my license - has anyone done this or know other things I need to be considering (looking at VW crafter). cheers all
  11. If you’re struggling, I have a machine on a operated hire basis and willing to travel (Gloucestershire based)
  12. I worked in Norway for a year, tripled my rate overnight and was a fantastic experience. Returned to the uk telling everyone I could how great it was, including how great the money was…. To no avail. In my experience people don’t want to move to better themselves, they would rather complain and do nothing about it.
  13. I was going to say you need a minimum for 20k views to earn 5 dollars, in all honesty I would pay that for him to continue just to read the comments.
  14. Yes! I’m trying to work out if this guy is filming a parody of himself
  15. Reminded me of this classic for some reason 🤔
  16. I decided to rewatch ‘the thick of it’ in light of the current government calamities, the parallels are hilarious.
  17. Well if you’re ever around Gloucestershire give me a shout. Yeah underpowered, and bogged down easily, if you’re in wet conditions it’s shite 🤣 Bobcat or Kabota u27 take some beating
  18. It’s geometry seems off and is in bad need of some counterweights (I know it’s a zero swing, but it’s very lively and takes some getting used to), tracking is woeful at best this is my main gripe - to name a few 🤣
  19. Bobcat E27 would be my choice but I couldn’t get one so went with a sany sy26u - could have a moan about it but for the money and warranty plus what comes as standard it’s good enough
  20. What size? Like the look 100TR but yet to have a go in one.
  21. I here this quite abit with rangers, may be anecdotal but I run 3.2L 2018/19s never had a problem with any of them and we tow heavy & consistent nationwide.
  22. What canopy brand is that? Still looking for one for my Ranger
  23. 2 or 3 would be the easiest to install - Brick up the fireplace directly behind the stove and then run the flue pipe into the chimney. Chimney may need to be lined if hasn’t already been done.
