  1. Thank you for that, ever played with tanaka?
  2. Efco have gone heavy or a bit flimsy now, was looking at the tanaka hoping it was like using a husqvarna 42/55 model.. Makita seems hefty and could be a slow or agricultural and tanaka no idea also echo could be agricultural like the farm boss crap
  3. Yeah can't get the old out house built saws, but never used makita? Have you used much makita dolmar stuff?
  4. Hi guys, to all of those involved... I need a new sub 50cc saw, for sneddung, thinning and section felling and firewood, above it is a efco 156,162, 199 for proper trees. Not really into stihl or husqvarna... Both seem to have lost there way.... So can we have a quick cutter, with grunt, lightweight but powerful, not stupidly heavy either... Does that exist? Sitting around the 350, 55, 42 range but not as heavy as stihl 241 cm. These are the saws, makita 5121, tanaka 3801, echo 420 and makita dcs 4300.... All of them bar the 5121 are same cc. Thanks in advance
  5. Hiya bud, you still able to get tanaka spares and how do u find them, kind of lost as to think what they compared to and if or how they handle well?

  6. Blimey, I didn't even realise that, I tried to find a price on it but couldn't, I know bars aren't cheap nor are chains.... I believe it can run upto a 48" bar with ease... I've only used it once as my 162 was struggling for an obscure reason ( knackered minging Holme oak) ten cuts on an old re pollarded one.
  7. Thinking offers, but don't know what it's original cost is or was?
  8. Was the anyone on here intrested in buying a virtually new efco 199 on a 30" bar.. Ex mod and un issued.. Used once on 10 cuts on a Holme oak .... Only run on asxpen during that time.
