  3. Might be ,good call
  4. Either western red cedar or weymouth pine.work on one last week , dead wopd was the same , good burner
  5. Valorbe files, are great when u can get them, better than oregon /stihl and other brands , they dont glaze like the rest and stihl files are shorter in length
  6. Have you googled partner cut of saw? They were up until a point husqvarna but yellow , from memory not much has changed on them
  7. I had a ****************ing tucson in iceland that didnt like me changing lane , fking great but the aren't crash barriers at the side of the roads there, just a 500ft drop and Americans thst cant drive. Though you could turn it off
  8. True how ever the were some that were very good at it , like foresters and tree surgeons ,
  9. I used to do it for fun , with a fiskars billihook, axe and bahco 10" bowsaw way before I was allowed to use a chainsaw , I cant remember metre rates now alot of it depends on where you are in the UK i guess. Whats the max diameter of stems u think is in the hedge
  10. Why do u think its beyond you when the are volunteers doing it ?
  11. Jees when were made in Japan? Or end of production run? Last time I brought anything on Honda it was made in Thailand and was shite . Even gently put on a gp trailer via a ramp and it would plaster the bloody spark plug with oil. Such temperamental shite .
  12. Think the problem is , saws aren't what they used to be , fuel isn't the same , chains and bars aren't what they used to be . If im thinking correctly the sthil rescue saw was based on a ms 460, Sthils always have been slower cutters, and husqvarna have been quicker. But most firms run mixed fleets of saws, not one model is great any more .
  13. Better than old school Honda, Honda isn't good at all
  14. Ive always been lucky or unlucky you could say , the next pick up was fitted with rops as it came out of landrover , didnt fancy that again
  15. I rolled one 3 times, had a ten ton shackle in the footwell and an 020t chainsaw ,no scratches or injury on me . No roll cage or anything like that, im still here ,normal also , that was in a td5 truck cab -
  16. F me , your quite right, they are reworked defenders as opposed to new old stock ,on the jlr sight it says nothing about overhauled , reworked or rebuilt landrovers, however u go to a different page and theyre the things are !. No i wouldn't pay upwards of 200k for some0ne else's sloppy seconds .
  17. Think it was jo beau , and dare I say it redditch's finest chipper !
  18. Nope , pure aspen , found out factory carb was missing gaskets, but the second carb still made it run rough .sold it in the end as I cant be done with crap machinery.
  19. Always wondered what it was like, down side is its a drum chipper , long expensive blades
  20. I had a stihl ms201t that wouldn't run on aspen or stihl moto mix from new, had to replace carb at an expensive cost ,still ran rough after replacing it ... I guess the odd saw can end up being a knacker
  21. Ive the old entec tree busta, based on a wheelbarrow layout, 24" wide , proper flywheel shared with its relatives ,18hp koler engine .doesn't go out much when it goes it will eat 4" wipes the floor with anything above
  22. These are new classic landrovers , as a limited run, that look similar to the sv 90 realised in the early 90s , from the factory. Not some cheq built freelander crap . If i had the money then id order one
  23. Very good engines, better than the honda
