  1. One reason i never put 12 o clock kick offs in my accas, If your selection loses you've feck all to look out for from 3pm.
  2. Ive had many Stihl US import saws through my hands and not one of them has a problem running on UK pump fuel. Your dealer is hankering after selling you a new saw. Take it somewhere else.
  3. Wayleave. We get £10.61 a year from the electric company for having a steel stay cable anchored into our land from a post on next doors land.
  4. The circle hole is the oil tank air vent, the silver channel is just to fill in where the chain tensioner should sit if your saw wasnt tool less chain tensioning. The oil is coming out of the correct hole.
  5. did you inspect the rubber hose part number 530 05 34 35 Hose they split and cause problems
  6. After uni and jobless my mate was a chugger for a day, stood in town centre all day signing people up to £5 a month direct debit, minimum 2 years. Every one that he signed up he would get £25 in wages. No one signed up. If they did the first 18 months £5's went to pay his £25 and the rest in admin costs. Not till a year and a half after making your first direct debit would the charity see any of your money.
  7. There isnt one honest charity out there, every day there is a story about about how they are run, here is todays Royal charity spent 98% of its cash raised in one year on paying just 10 staff, probe reveals | Daily Mail Online
  8. Cant stand Ben Fogle, whenever hes on i turn off.
  9. That looks like a MS181 piston to me.
  10. If youve spark and fuel its compression. Remove the exhaust and check the state of the piston.
  11. If your stuck, ive just found a 501 under the bench which i'd forgotten about, i was going to repair it (lean seizure) but cant be bothered. I can send you the coil if you need.
  12. if its something you may consider bidding on have a read of this thread Forestry Tractor - General chat - Arbtalk | The Social Network For Arborists There is a post from a guy who used this equipment that is for sale so he may be able to give you a heads up on it.
  13. ive no idea if its something like this youre after *PTO Driven Winch with 3 Point Tractor Pick Up (i-bidder.com) its up for online auction in Hull
  14. Gilbert Baitson | Woodland and Arborology Machinery (gilbert-baitson.co.uk)
  15. As said the choke is in the air filter, how are you starting it from cold?
  16. Is it the correct air fiter for the saw? There is 2 that look similar but arn't.
  17. I cant 100% remember but i did the fuel lines on one of these saws, there are hundreds of variants out there in different branding and im pretty sure i had to remove the handle to get at the grommet that holds the fuel pipes. On re assemble the oil pipe never fitted back properly and it pissed oil out all the time. Got sick of seeing the thing eventually and threw it in the skip.
  18. Whats it say inside the piston? actually cast into it rather than scratched on? Yes they are self tappers and there should be no thread in the 4 holes. You assemble the piston to the crank, slide the piston into the cylinder and sit the brearings and seals in their places, run a like of Dirko over the sealing face of the cylinder and then put the base pan on, Hold it all together and fit it into the housing then put in the screws and tighten in a cross corners pattern
  19. Not chainsaw boots and non steel toe capped but Karrimoor do a decent selection of large sized boots. Im in mine 8 hours a day and its took 2 years to wear my first pair out.
  20. If there was no exhaust on it when you found it someone has obviously removed it, they have done this because they were looking for the reason why it wouldnt start when warm. More likely than not they have seen a scored piston and then not bothered putting the exhaust back on, left it under the bench for a while, the exhaust has got moved around and lost and the saw has been put out for scrap.
  21. easier to take a picture of what your trying to fit it to?
  22. Ive the same machine, i actually think its 15HP. I look after 6 acres with it and its never missed a beat in 3 years. I dont chip anything larger than 2.5 inches with it as that gets cut for the fire but for the money paid for it its one of the best value pieces of kit i own.
  23. only ever had one a rattle gun couldn't shift, had to cut into that one with a dremel.
  24. If youve not pulled it over whilst there was oil in the fuel tank and immediately tipped the bar oil out it wont have got into the pipe so i would guess youve another issue. How long has it been sat unused?
