  6. Sorry, I should have said it has to be wood or solid fuel - but thanks anyway Tom & treedave. Its for a friend of ours, think he's prepared to travel a fair distance if the price is right.

  8. i started with an axe and now have farmi processor and do about 250 ton a year it has a log lift fitted so makes life alot easier it will cut upto 15 inch also a conveyour to help loading self powerd so dont need a tractor and all the the expence that goes with them i can process about 10 ish ton a day i had a jappa before this one

  11. get a big pile of logs and hire someone in to processs it for you thats what i do for a few people that sell logs and cannot afford a processor
  12. talk to them you will probably find that the problem is as much as health and safety issue as a bird issue - they'll be worried that you might get shot!

  22. mine has the chainsaw cheap to replace the chain and bar also dont have a tractor so no great expense there

  24. i can cut upto 15inch and with two of us we can do about 10 tons
  25. i think a clause saying they can never opperate again within 20 miles would be struck out of the draft agreement by most solicitors and replaced with somthing more sensible like 5 years we just sold a business last year and also very nearly bought another, so do have some experience of this i would also add in repsonse to the previous post about a sole trader business that just generates an income being worthless - this is not the case. the only issue is if the clients were buying into the skills / personality of the individual, in which case it is a bit harder and would require a longer hand over period to make it work for the buyer.
