  8. Listening on the news this morning about it being unreasonable to expect nurses, paramedics etc to work to 68 because of the type of manual work involved - somehow they don't seem to think this applies to similar types of job in the private sector though. Anyone else not fancy having to climb at 68? Same goes for lots of factory / production line type jobs. I also wish they'd stop with the "we'd get more money in the private sector" - if that's the case why haven't they moved?
  9. the problem with the public sector is that there is alot of people at the top making lots of money for doing very little across the board no one should be paid more that the prime minster eg the head of our loacal counil gets over £300,000 why (having worked in the public sector and private and now self employed )

  17. You can convert to any of those file formats, but it won't make the jpg into a vector graphic (ie it won't become scalable the same way that an original ai / eps graphic would be). What do you need it for? If its just for print then if you are starting out with a jpg the right size then pdf would be good enough and the easiest to convert.

    Own Up!?!

Must be nice - personally I prefer to tell them the right way and if they still want it their way I take the cash because priciples don't pay the bills.

    Own Up!?!

Who are any of us to criticise a job when we don't know the circumstances. Yes, the trees don't look great like that, but I assume that's what the customer wanted. If i had a pound for every job I'd done and finished thinking "if only they'd let me do what looked right instead of what they wanted" then I'd be a very rich man. Surely we've all taken the money for doing what the customer wanted - that's what being in business is about.
