  1. I'd say Wolf garten as well. Several other attachments available
  2. That was the only way you could get a dolly through a mot! ?
  3. Wasn't condoning it ?
  4. Remember the days when there was a fella in the pub with an mot pad. All you needed was the mileage and reg (and a tenner)
  5. Just got this off gov.uk It is not illegal for vehicles to be fitted with bull bars, although the department would not recommend their fitment unless it has been shown, through compliance with specified safety standards, that they do not pose an additional risk of injury to pedestrians or other vulnerable road users. Think l must have had a keen inspector. Can't find anything specifically about winches. Leave it on. Take it off in front of him if he insists. It's all a bit of a joke and a money making racket in my opinion. I suppose you need some form of regulation
  6. Well this is my concern. I was told to remove bull bars a few years ago as they weren't standard and could worsen injuries/damage to anything they hit. But l can see an over zelous mot inspector saying something about the chipbox. It appears some things are interpretation. We all know, you can take a vehicle to one mot centre for it to fail on certain things, take it somewhere else and it's a set of other things
  7. I've made the box myself. I think I've done a decent job. I'm only asking because I had to remove bull bars on this truck because they weren't standard, and obviously the box isn't either. May be being paranoid
  8. Hi everyone. I was just wondering if anyone removes their chipper box for the mot? Has anyone had any issues? Thanks
  9. V reg L200. 24-25 mpg. Reliable tho!

    L200 4wd issue?

Thanks Chris. I'm getting to grips with it now. I like that last tip for shunting?. When i first got the truck l was scared to lock the freewheel hubs because l thought that would lock the diff! So I'm learning

    L200 4wd issue?

Ok everyone. Thanks for all the advice. I've got to admit, until now, l didn't really understand how it all worked. I've been speaking with a mechanic friend. His advice is run them locked. The only disadvantage is a slight increase in fuel consumption as you are turning the front half shafts as well as the wheel. The advantage is they are lubed and less likely to have problems. Anyone disagree with this? I'd be interested to know as there does seem to be a bit of differences of opinion. Thanks

    L200 4wd issue?

Thanks. I've been advised before to periodically engage 4wd. I'm getting someone to check it out, and after that l will take your advice and leave it in 4wd permanently. I don't do a gteat deal of miles so mpg etc isn't teally an issue

    L200 4wd issue?

Hi. Yes. Old school. Lever with 3 settings. 2h, 4h & 4l. Then you have to lock the hubs manually. When i wasn't sure whether it was working i was empty. Would that make the back wheels spin more in 4wd mode? When loaded it wasn't as bad

    L200 4wd issue?

Thanks. Is there usually a symbol on the dash to indivate the lovk? Bearing in mind it's a v reg 2000

    L200 4wd issue?

Ok thanks everyone. Definitely not going for the jack option, haven't got a tractor, i'm off to find a muddy field. I can see the suggestions getting more ridiculous on this one ?

    L200 4wd issue?

That was my plan. Then I thought, with my luck, I'd get stuck! It is the model which you have to manually lock the freewheel hub. Suppose i'll just have to go for it! I'll get the tirfor out incase

    L200 4wd issue?

Any advice? I have an old L200 4x4. I have always assumed the 4wd mode was working. When l engage it, the engine sounds different and l always thought it was working. Last week though, when l actually needed 4wd it felt like l didn't have it. Didn't actually get stuck, but how can l test if it is working? Thanks, any advice appreciated
  18. That's brilliant. I'd like to have a go at something similar myself. Is it critical to have the fans on a thermostat? I was thinking of putting the fans on in the day and turning them off at night? Is it easy to set them on a stat? Thanks
  19. Hi wisewood

Not sure what is happening with the heavy yet. The customer was thinking of keeping it. I will recontact you if there's some available ?

  20. Thanks Carl
  21. Thanks Steve. I've given myself a couple of weeks to sort it. I'll contact them tomorrow ?
  22. Hi. I'll be looking for a chip site in about 3 weeks time in the Huyton area of Liverpool. Not my usual stomping ground. It's the dreaded conifer, by the way! Thanks to anyone who can help

    Tipping site

Hi Does anyone know if 'White Moss Horticulture' sites take chippings?
  24. Thanks dean. I've only got one myself. Got a friend with 2 tho. I'll take that advice. It's an old saw (mine) 2004 I think, had a new carb kit a few yrs ago. I should probably get a new saw. Trying to hang on to this one as long as I can. Thanks
  25. Thanks for that dean. The bogging down, not reaching full revs and dying is something my ms200t does. I followed your advice and was a bit disappointed to find my filter clean. So it's not that. One thing I've noticed is the breather tube tends to kink naturally. I try to correct it but every time i clean the air filter i notice it's done it again. I've also discovered, by accident, when fuelling, if i crack the fuel cap it improves temporary. Any ideas. Thanks
