Bit baffled with this one, the saw runs perfect but having trouble with starter housing, it keeps getting chewed up i,ve put two new ones on now and the same thing happens after about an hours use,just chews up the insides of the pull cord housing, anybody got any ideas why

Today my saw took a swim in the river,managed to find it after about half hour, 6ft deep,anyone else done this and what was the outcome for the saw,i.m guessing scrap.Gonna strip it and have a look but not holding out much hope
