    I,m pretty sure my dad used GTX as his mixing oil,your right things have changed a hell of a lot,and as you say stuff seemed to last for years

    My dad back in the 70s had an old GTX tin,fill it with 4* and had a milk bottle he would about quarter fill it with oil and mix it up and away to go,never seemed to have any trouble with his old mcullochs,them was the days
  5. A couple of Betty,in the truck out the rain and meeting one of the lambs,don’t look bothered by each other
  6. Here’s an old oak at the back end of our wood,always good for a picture on a nice day,its also home to a pair of Tawny Owls and this year it was home to a pair of woodpeckers aswell,along with a whole load of other wildlife I’m sure

  14. Thanks,it all depends on how the customer looks after it,whether they keep it trimmed or let it grow up again in which case about 5/6yrs but would have to cut pleachers out and relay

  18. I use my local agri shop own brand (TFM) seems good 25ltrs for about £40 cant compare it to any other cos used it for years now,did used to use Exol and that was good too
  19. That’s great that they don’t fence cos thats the whole idea why we lay hedges(to form a stock barrier)when my dad was laying back in the sixties he also dug a ditch as he went(by hand)
  20. They ruin hedges Stubby,they smash all the crap into the bottom of the hedge and smother anything from growing
  21. Nice looking job that,i think your right about the twisted being caused by flailing,i did one last year on a roadside just the same?
