I,ve got a 450mtr stretch of hedge to lay next season which i planted for a customer a few years back and it has a damson tree every 25 mtrs and another one i planted many years ago(about 800 mtrs), has alternating damson and green gage trees.I,ll take some pics next time i,m there,

Got a lot of Chaffinches this time,got a nest in the yew hedge so hopefully should see the young soon

Tried to get some pics last week of some goslings,we got 2 hatches of 5 on the pool but couldn,t get a decent shot.I think as you say things are a bit later this year

As you say the 6100 has a lot of grunt and very nice to use,i also have a couple 550xp and really do like them,i bought the little Makita for this seasons hedgelaying and really can,t fault that either
