Ah J this is crap news,i know how your feeling mate,as you no with Betty a few mths back,as you say she,s in the best place by the sounds of it and lets just pray they can get on top of things and she can get back to work with you soon.As for sitting in your forwarder and weeping,you wouldn,t be human mate if you didn,t,i did plenty times when Betty was struggling,got our fingers crossed here and lets hope you can update with better news very soon

I,ve never tried battery saws for hedging Doug,but i had a little Makita(15") off Shavey(Andrew) for last season and it is great for it,before that i,ve used Husky 435s which were good or 550xp

Admittedley not running bars that long but generally they do oil very well

My Dolmar 6100 and the little 4300 really do oil well so wouldn,t think you,d have too much trouble there

I,ve recently bought a 6100 from Shavey and it,s a brilliant saw,as you say built a like a tank,hope when you use it you are pleased with it,it is going to be my next purchase hopefully

You need some sheep muck(daggings) in a hessian bag and drop it in a barrel of water for a week or two and then use it as a liquid fertilizer,its brilliant for brassicas.
