  1. well well,in all my years working derricks offshore i never once seen such facilities up at the monkey board level,100ft up give or take, also, you could be up their for the duration of your shift,12hrs,dinner etc sent up on the elevators, over the years we have worked for most of the big oil companys along with their company delegated safety officers, several occasions, after,a drill floor accident,a visit from hse,who showed a great reluctance along with said safety reps, to venture up to the monkey board level.anywhore the point of this is the hse pick and choose,on the day, which safety aspects they deem fit to pursue, the two rope system, hopefully, will die a death,if everyone on here and beyond shout loud and long enough to its demise.

  6. keep an eye on ebay nick, thats where i got mine,90quid i think i paid, maybe i was just lucky, have seen on amazon but around the 400 or so,good luck mate.
  7. quite agree andy, after working more than twenty yrs at the coal face,we plugged dozens of wells which were to be more viable later, two i remember being off Haverford west, the secrecy surounding exploration drilling is a well known fact, the two wells we did off wales was in the early eighties, and,we were told by the company man to keep it shut, not to say a word of where the rig was or what the expected total of barrels it would probably produce. This has been a common practice of oil companys since day 1,so stating stastics and figures is pretty much like shootin fish in a barrel, the powers that be tell us what they decide.just to close ive worked, the north sea, norway, denmark, persian gulf, cambodia, vietnam, angola, congo basin, and malabo, and its pretty much the same crack all over.
  8. true,we dont have a licence,we have a dispensation letter from the licence authority.

  17. well i had a mix of labs n springers, just loved watching them work, especially on grouse, you can see everything thats going on.i was very lucky with the keepering ,at 15 landed a job as kennel boy under a gentleman as my headkeeper, who has sadly passed.this was on monteviot estates, after around 4 yrs was given one of the home beats which their were two.i worked directly under the supervision of the second keeper jake, who sadly has also passed, after another year or so was moved out to one of the outer beats with a syndacate, but a couple of years later started getting itchy feet and joined up,to see a bit of the world, hmm canny say i was that impressed.lol.

  22. they recalled the 2016 model,i think, mine is one, they recommend checking the screw before, during, and after the climb.find out from your mate where he bought it,they should be able to advise n supply parts,or get in touch with art, mine came from clarks near dumfries and had to wait months for it due to a recall round that time,by the way just recently got the new zigzag, far superior n smoother, not so bulky.
