  7. I've got a mate with a barn full of oak Elm yew etc slabs. All below 14% mc. Air dried. Lots of it is around 10%. Barsteward. I can't check the wood mc at my yard as the moss and fungus are too deep to get the probe in. [emoji849][emoji106]

  10. Kiss goodbye to sleep, a social life, sex life, clothes which don't smell of baby sick, and the general recklessness of youth. What you've got now is far more amazing!!! Fatherhood is literally the best thing to ever happen in my life. [emoji173]️[emoji173]️[emoji173]️[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  11. We've been discussing different fungi strains for spalting beech and syc. Thought about rubbing mud and fungus into the fresh end grains. Anyone tried this?

  13. Are you personally involved in this? Sounds fascinating. [emoji106]
  14. F**k that, return it. [emoji23]
  15. Got any photos/videos? Sounds very interesting. Could you start a new thread about it? I'm sure there are quite a few on here who'd be interested to learn more. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  16. No it was a guy called Ed, with a big Saw. [emoji6] Got the rest of the tree in the yard, I'll ask Ed about meripilus. [emoji106]
  17. I cut mine up into 8-10" rings got a lad who picks it up for £35 a cube. He's happy because he just splits it into icb's and stacks em. I'm happy cos I don't have space/time/effort. [emoji106]

  20. Milled a large beech for a mate today. Absolutely drenched. The 880 and the panther mill really do the job well. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
