  1. Our locals out now. Doesn’t know when he’s getting a delivery as he’s independent. Let’s see how long this lasts…
  2. The 660/661 has a higher rpm about 13.5k, the 880/881 is about 12.5-12 So cutting smaller wood the 6 series will cut faster. Until you get harder wood or wider wood. A 6 series will pull 36-42” on 3/8, The 8 series will pull 84” on .404 That’s what you pay for [emoji106]
  3. Round here the councils plant all sorts of bizarre stuff. Lots of Turkish hazel and Chinese cherries. I’m not 100% as I’ve seen some very unusual trees before. But I’ll bet a Demi pression it’s sycamore. [emoji106]
  4. 🤣🤣🤣spat me tea nearly! [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  5. Can’t tell. Look carefully stubby. The first picture is the ridges left by the bark. Your photo is the galleries and tunnels of a beetle larvae.
  6. Those marks are from the bark. [emoji106]
  7. As pointed out, what you are suggesting is a can of worms. However there are exemptions. But it’s a complete minefield. Have you asked Hmrc how it should be done? I remember vaguely something about multiple contractors… advertising… etc… [emoji106]
  8. Veg oil is about £1 a litre… Plenty of that if it comes to it.
  9. I’d wait til your neighbour goes on holiday. Then you can return the favour. By washing his windows. From your garden. With bricks. [emoji106]
  10. I know a good woodland school in Sussex who do week long classes in bow and arrow making in the woods [emoji106]
  11. What’s a display saw? 🤷🏽‍♂️
  12. It’s my other backup saw for double ended milling. If I get it out, it means I’ve buggered another engine or something expensive on the other saws…[emoji106]
  13. Trees, transits and chainsaws… Life’s better with all 3 🤣[emoji106]
  14. Nope. Humans have lived for millions of years with trees, no transport or roads. How long would we live for without trees? [emoji848]
  15. The 881 is a much better saw than the 880. As far as future value goes… There’s a guy in n.America has a virgin 090. Been hung on his shop wall since early eighties. Got to about $4000 at auction. Didn’t reach reserve. Best time to buy an 880 was the time between the 881 release date and the actual arrival in shop date. Heard of £900 cash deals… Then sell it in the following month to people who think the 881 will be a dud.
  16. Yeah I always wanted more power too🤣[emoji106] In time[emoji106]
  17. I live in Yorkshire. It rains nearly everyday. I don’t use my msa200 much but if it gets wet it still works fine. Which electric saws do you have? [emoji106]
  18. If you phone your Stihl dealer they will be able to get motomix delivered to your workplace or home. Might even be the same price soon🤣🤣🤣[emoji106]
  19. The 661 has it, don’t know about the 500i. 880s will be worth more when you can’t buy them new.
