  1. It’s for the 881, had to get larger bar nuts too. Testing it tomorrow on the F2+ [emoji108]
  2. It’s firewood probably. With that much t&c it’ll still split sooner or later. You could leave it in one piece off the ground for 3-5 years til it’s stabilised, but I suspect it’ll pop. If it’s really nice colour, just mill it and see what happens. There always resin table makers. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  3. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  4. I believe you, but I’m not Hmrc. I used to do part time work fir a very clued up guy. He would only employ me when the hours were worked out over X months. As to avoid paying as an employer. If you are “contracting” him 5 days a week, Every week, have a chat with an HR consultant. Might be a lot cheaper.
  5. Narrow lanes....[emoji6] Ultimate low impact? Fly cuts? 🤣[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  6. Only for that contract. But if he’s full time, it’s completely different. After a certain quota of hours/days/weeks he will qualify as an employee.
  7. I still can’t find the denim chainsaw trousers? Which manufacturer? 🤷🏽‍♂️[emoji6][emoji106]
  8. I’ll bet that’s where they’ll end up too. 🤣[emoji106] Think I bought about the same before I realised every saw was f*****. I did learn a lot about the mechanics of chainsaws and why older saws are often crap. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  9. I’ll never buy another saw from eBay.🤣[emoji106] That’s why I’m asking on here[emoji106]
  10. This just arrived... [emoji95][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] Thank you Logosol !!![emoji122][emoji122][emoji122] [emoji106]
  11. I think they’re great. Know loads of people who use them in industry. I’d love to send my saws to spud, He does some really awesome work. But until my ass is covered legally it’s a no no. 🥲
  12. I read somewhere (probably on here) that in the case of serious injury or death, A mech will take the saw away for examination. First on the list is depth gauges. Remember you’re only insured if you follow their rules. Any chainsaw which is badly maintained will be hazardous at best. My insurance company asked me 3 times if I’ve modded my engine on my vehicle. They even asked if I had any shelving in the back as that could invalidate my insurance. My understanding of chainsaws is, If you mod it in any way, your insurance is useless. It takes years of R&D not to mention ce marks Bs certification etc Not worth the risk in a professional environment. At home... yeah get the spudded saws out and cut discos or firewood. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  13. Hello bud, I’d be interested in some select pieces? Might be doing a run near you. Would only be after a 1-1.5ton log but I pay an honest price for quality. Looking for solid burr or heavy pippy. 07376803384 Saul
  14. Can’t see why it didn’t catch on... 🤣🤣🤣[emoji106]
  15. Advertise on here, in the employment section. Ive had loads of work from here. Really nice to meet other arbtalkers and play with their toys. What tickets and experience do you have? What area of arb are you looking to get in to? [emoji106]
  16. What’s the KWhr? I’ll buy that if that’s ok? [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  17. Has anyone got an 08s they’d want to part with? Must have good compression and work well. Thanks [emoji106]
  18. I’d be interested in the kiln device. Does it heat? [emoji106]
  19. He can, but when Hmrc catch up, the employer will be back paying for employers tax, NI, holidays etc followed by a large fine. It’s just a stupid and expensive way of doing it.
  20. I should add, I have used many ported saws belonging to friends. Honestly wish we could use ported saws at work. I run 880/881 mostly with 50-80” bars. Would love to have them ported... [emoji106]
  21. Yeah, and when I go to arbtalk all I see is adverts.
  22. Interesting. In the uk ported saws are an insurance nightmare. You won’t get it. Or you’d invalidate it. Therefore ported saws are illegal on uk work sites.
  23. I only use the app. Don’t have a computer. 🤷🏽‍♂️
