  1. Yeah, but at least we’ve lost matelot and vesp. 🤣🤣🤣🤣[emoji106]
  2. My right hand man is a gypsy. Honest, hard working and a true gentleman. Couldn’t ask for better. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  3. Joe is a an experienced and respected arborist. There’s quite a few on here. Don’t get this forum confused with the Facebook bunch. 🤣🤣🤣🤣[emoji106]
  4. Chain brakes are essential. Don’t bother with that old dinosaw. You’ll be repairing it often. Most modern stihl saws will do what you need. Chat to your local dealer. Or ask on here for a second hander. [emoji106]
  5. Top job gobby! [emoji7][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  6. Yeah, 051,075 and 076 are all basically the same saw. [emoji106]
  7. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106][emoji319][emoji319][emoji319]
  8. I only trust stihl dealers. Never eBay.
  9. Where you based mate? You’re welcome to come have a go on my kit, Bring yours, I’ll show you how to use it. [emoji106]
  10. Phone Rob. His number is on the top on the website. He’s a decent bloke too[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  11. If your local dealer hasn’t got one, Phone stihl GB technical department. They have access to back stock. They won’t be cheap though!!! [emoji106]
  12. A. Rob.d who runs Chainsawbars.co.uk makes and sells the panther mills. B. The mill needs to fit the log. I have several mills, each for a certain size. My most used is the 60” panther with 54/56”? Bar. Gives a 42”/105cm wide cut. Over that it’s the 80” panther and 84” bar, cuts up to 6’ wide. But a big mill is hard to balance on a small log. [emoji106]
  13. Give him my number if he tells you that crap again. 07376803384 🤣[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  14. Just more BS. Ever see an aux oiler on any of my mills? Nope. [emoji106]
  15. What displacement is your saw? [emoji106]
  16. Stihl ms881 84” cannon bar Logosol wide slabber 5’ oak Watch the saw dust pour.
  17. That’s bullshit. I tested the 881 for stihl in the uk. Milling up to 84” bars. The 881 is perfectly capable of pulling whatever you can put on it. Please message me the number of your dealer. [emoji106]
  18. Yeah, I’m really impressed by the Oregon skip chain. The hyper skip for even longer bars. Is a D009 a 90cc? [emoji106]
  19. Again. All you are saying is it’s about the economics. Well there are ways and means to change that. With the right government legislation, grants, funding and foresight. Changing public awareness about their role as users of products. There are a great many in this country who care deeply about our forests and trees. It’ll take a long time and vast effort. But it could be done... [emoji106]
  20. All you mention here is the economics. That’s way too easy. Serving existing markets for cheap low grade timber. Changing the mind set, to change the end user/recipients choice. That’s the key. One day we will have IKEA offering hand made uk wood products. [emoji6][emoji106]
  21. As a miller, you’d only be looking at £50-£100 for the trunk, IF it’s not hollow, or covered in nails.
  22. Been with Arborisk fir years. Pl, el, and vehicles. I’ll bring moving to NFU in the new year.
  23. The cutting speed when milling is almost irrelevant. Moving slabs is the slow bit. [emoji106]
