Those less fortunate than you Eggs have an endless stream of “benefits” thrown at them. If they can’t make this windfall work then they are an abject failure at life and any dependents need to be taken into care, dependants are not a cash cow. We’d soon see a real step change in attitude then.

100% Plenty time to whine and winge but soon disappear when it’s time to put the graft in to actually provide for their families. Always complaining, always asking for yet another hand out. Eggs will be along soon enough to be their shining White Knight no doubt. 🙄

Quite right! I think this winter will be the first time we’ll see genuine shortages across the board for energy and food. With the huge increases in the cost of diesel and fertiliser I imagine crops will be smaller but more expensive than previous.

This is a literal fact. I wasted my school years and made up for it the hard way with two apprenticeships back to back. Car Mechanic and Mechanical Engineering. Still, it just shows you that if anyone wishes to turn their life around it’s never to late, and then you can spend the rest of your life back paying tax.

A good idea? Just go for a brisk walk with a jacket on and you’re roasting. Or go to a shopping centre, they’re roasting as well with loads of free seating, power sockets and free Wi-Fi. These dossers just want more for nothing.

I heat my home to a level I can afford. We have only installed Double Glazing this year. That’s been 7 years in an uninsulated Farmhouse with original single glazing and rotten leaky frames. So say that upstairs was uncomfortable cold in the winter is an understatement. We generally kept the the kitchen and living room and at bedtime it was Water Bottles all round. (Not for me of course) We managed 30-40 years ago in such conditions, we’ve managed til now. It might not be nice but it certainly won’t kill us nor anyone who is not classed as vulnerable. There is far to much whinging from the dregs of society.

Cloning classics does not work that way. They get the vin from a desirable model then take a base model and transfer all the parts at make the desirable model desirable over to the base model and suddenly the rusted out wreck of the desirable model that would never get back on the road again is. Although it’s heavily frowned upon the reality of the matter is in the factory they where all base models til the goodies where added and the desirable options made the rare cars rare. So to me swapping the bits over like the Diff, Engine, brakes, trim to give the rare car a new lease of life with a fresh shell is not the end of the world. A rebody should be allowed in these circumstances. -

What was the point in selling the car then? Clearly it never put the enthusiasts off though. Easy to get a replacement Vin Plate based off stamped Vin numbers that are most likely around the body. Seems like an odd thing to do. -

Are you sure? For years now you need your copy of the V5 plus ID to get a set of plates at your local Factors and places like Halfords. Never tried on-line though. -

I pay over £60k in tax a year. I’d say I have no option but to share my wealth. Regardless I’m not sure why you’re praising someone’s intentional decision to stop others earning a wage to line the pockets of an organisation. 🤷🏻♂️

I did say I doubt they see it that way. IF they want a bigger house they need more money. If they want richer friends they need more money. If they want more power they need more money. If they want more houses, more cars more Jets they need more money. Its all about perspective. We could say that we dont need more money, but we certainly all want more.

The customers don’t have to agree, just the competition. Just look at Pump prices, I doubt any customer agrees there. And careful what you wish for. At £250 a cube I doubt you’d get any logs dropped of for free.

You might think they dont need any more money but I doubt they see it that way. Its not like they have wound up their businesses after they made a few million is it? Do any of them think 'thats enough money for me?'. Quite naïve thinking.
