  1. Knock yourself out. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1054643/benefits-of-brexit.pdf
  2. Politely? I don’t think you know the meaning of the word. Just being your usual self. The poster directly after you knew fine what I meant. You where just being a as per usual.
  3. So clearly a typo then? 🙄 What a pedant.
  4. Take a punt at some possible reasons I’d have used such a noun.
  5. We’ve been mugged all right. By the over reaction to Covid and the proffering response to Ukraine. Those that doggedly insist it’s the fault of Brexit don’t want to admit they’ve been mugged off.
  6. No no no. It’s nothing to do with his first post about desperately needing to heat his home for the wife and kids and everything to do with his altruistic nature in wanting to help grannies. Oh, and his therapy. 🙄
  7. I voted yes before as I genuinely believed Scotland would be better off not being under the Yoke of the English. I have often read that Scotland does not meet the requirements to re-join the EU if Scotland had won independence. A double win for me. Genuine independence. We had our once in s generation vote. We voted accordingly. Like Brexit it’s not the best of three. Both sides presented their cases and their propaganda and we decided to not take back control of our nation and to remain powerless in the Union. We now have to pay that price. We don’t get to change our mind on the whims of some hate filled dwarf. Having seen what an unmitigated disaster the SNP are Im doubly glad we don’t have independence.
  8. I voted yes before but now we’re out of the EU I’d vote no now. 🤣
  9. I think the high court ruling has answered that question…. What peculiar reasoning. You should have passed that soundbite onto Krankie, might have won her the case. 🙄 You do understand the concept of once in a generation right? Then they should have voted for independence when they had the chance, huh? Too late now the milk has spilt. Yet my point stands, more people voted for Brexit than they did for the SNP, yet the SNP claim that the voters have given them a mandate for Indi2 based on the votes they got at the last election. Clearly this is not the case. There is not a poll I’m aware of that shows we wish to have another vote on Independence. Everyone is sick of the SNP and their dogged determination to keep pushing for independence instead of sorting out the very real issues we have in Scotland.
  10. Nonsense. The once in a generation referendum has been held. The SNP used the fact that they needed approval from number 10 to hold it and we as a nation better make good use of this once in a generation vote as a major scare tactic. Well we chose the mystery box of promises from number 10 and instead of freedom we chose to be yoked to England with virtually no say in any matter. We have had our democratic vote. It’s over for this generation. It’s what we signed up for and it’s what we got. The SNP throwing temper tantrums will and has changed nothing. It’s worth keeping in mind more people in Scotland voted for Brexit than they did the SNP. They have no mandate here.
  11. Of course. If he’s no got two pennies to rub together then his backs up against the wall and he’ll have to bend over and take it without lube. But if he smart he’ll buy his own unprocessed logs delivered to his door and save himself a huge amount of hassle and wasted energy. Then he can therapy himself to kingdom come . I does not hurt to see things from a different perspective and if he still really wants to do all this graft for someone else (therapy and call that) then crack on. As I said, he can come get some therapy from me whenever he likes.
  12. That works as well. Manual labour = minimum wage. He can slog his guts out for someone else all day long and take eighty quids worth of unprocessed logs. He can come work for me any time he likes. 🤣
  13. What about the waxy residue? How are you still alive man?
  14. I absolutely agree not everything’s about money. But you’ve also got to work smart. I do days in exchange. Milling for Stump Grinder Hire, tree work, Oak etc. I’ve done work lately that will get me two days work with a builder removing a structural wall in the house. I just don’t see how chopping someone else’s logs for them for a cut of logs is in anyway shape or form a good use of time or energy. For the insignificant outlay for a load of unprocessed logs he should spend the day splitting his own logs and reap the rewards of this therapy. A 5t load of processor grade larch delivered round my way is £350. It’s basically mill grade so I’ll buy some for that. For that money he’s be in therapeutic heaven for days on end and fill 12-15 dumpy bags all for himself instead of being thrown a bag a day for his efforts. Each to their own though. Some folk just love having the piss ripped out of themselves and nothing will deter them otherwise.
  15. Whilst it sounds like a good idea is it in reality? How much logs would he realistically split in a day? Let’s assume a Maul and he does maybe 3 cubes bags. The owner lets him take 1 cube bag which he then needs to transport home then season for 6 months minimum. He’d be better off just doing 8 hours regular work then paying the (if living wage) £80 for a bag of nicely seasoned logs delivered to his door.
  16. Pampered Stove. Mind give it a bedtime story as well.
  17. So buy whatever ones you like and don’t worry about it 👍
