  1. Royal Navy carrier breaks down off south coast - BBC News WWW.BBC.COM The HMS Prince of Wales's departure from Portsmouth had already been postponed due to a... Not really a great start, hearing on the divers grapevine that it’s looking very much like a dry dock job.
  2. Time to face up to the catastrophic legacy of lockdown WWW.TELEGRAPH.CO.UK The NHS is on the verge of collapse, but this time due to a tsunami of non-Covid patients... For all those who supported the madness it’s worth a read, for those whom saw it coming there’s nothing to gloat about at all when you look at the state of things.
  3. No I’m sure you don’t 42, I’ll give you a bit of advice then, stop making smart arse comments such as the Mythical quip a few posts ago and the well deserved responses will stop too. The likes of yourself have thrown that crap at anyone whom dared question anything from day one. The current situation both from a financial social education and healthcare perspective etc is in no short order thanks to the utter madness that was the covid reaction you supported. Honestly 42 wtf did you think the end result was gonna be 2 years ago when you were hiding behind your curtains promoting this bollocks 🤷‍♂️
  4. Well the Mrs has just worked out our projected Electric bills based upon the latest and proposed upcoming price caps. Currently £164 per month Oct due to go to £295 Jan 23 up again to £448 April 23 up again to £ 551. If Starmer can’t make this the stick he might as well quit as leader of the opposition. As for the Tories as much as i have always been a Tory voter this may well be a death sentence. Hopefully people will take to the streets big time over this.
  5. Yes, I have an outlet for external use ie pressure washer etc that’s before the treatment set up but everything that comes into the house goes through it.
  6. As I understand it if you are metered you receive a monthly or quarterly bill if not it’s included in the council tax as a set fee. My property like a good few in Scotland has a bore hole with all the associated uv, ph and particulate systems in place. That and the septic tank qualifies us for a decent discount on our council tax charge.
  7. You work out what a cuck is yet ??. With a reply as feeble and impotent as that I think it’s plain to see you probably do actually realise you might have been a bit keen to say the least.
  8. Yes, payment is made as part of your annual council tax, if un metered.
  9. So mull you of all people ie a full on left wing socialist snp bollocks supporter thinks metering water would be a good idea. Talk about awkward for the sake of awkward. On this one I think all compulsory use of meters would do is give water companies the chance to make more money. Anyway check your council tax bill you will see you already do pay for the provision of it ffs.
  10. Well 42 as much as you try to belittle those whom have questioned anything from day one with wisecracks like “ mythical great lie” the fact still stands that a serving minister at the heart of government throughout the whole thing is as much as telling you they frightened the likes of yourself into meek compliance. Read back over the early covid thread posts and you will find references to a work colleagues mother whom is a consultant cardio vascular surgeon, she on the verge of retirement went back on the wards at the beginning of the covid farce( due to surgery being suspended) and has maintained throughout that the over reaction, the nightingale hospitals, the MSM and government propaganda etc etc has been nothing more than an utter disgrace and waste of billions. But as with Mesterh and his mocking I don’t expect you to ever acknowledge the fact you might just have been a tad overzealous with your defence of all the crap put in place for the past two years. As an aside here I am knowing dozens of people whom have had covid pre and post vaccination of all ages including myself twice, and the reality is I still do not know anyone whom has died because of covid. I don’t care about the actions of the likes of yourself or others that bought into it wholeheartedly and without question, what bothers me right here and now is the current state we are in and the fact that a huge part of it was totally avoidable if people had just stoped and thought about much of what was done and where it was heading eventually.
  11. He’s spoken a lot of sense throughout this whole farce.
  12. Andy at the end of the day if even the words of someone at the heart of the government throughout this farce doesn’t start people to at least question a few things then what’s the point.
  13. As much as most of what’s in that article was blatantly obvious to many from day one the fact he admits scare tactics were utilised to terrify people into compliance is surely enough to make even the anxious covid cowards wake up. My own opinion is he’s reading the mood of those out there who now realise they had the piss taken out of them big time, and throwing his hat in the “ I knew it was a mistake all along” camp. 42, Mesterh and Co !!!!!! genuinely, how you are gonna ignore the statement of an individual whom was at the very heart of government throughout this farce.
  14. Debacle Mark !!!!!! No mark as I’ve said several times before you don’t have sole insight into such things. You forget I grew up a few miles from you in a mining village and left school just after the miners strike so I’m fully aware of what damage politicians of all parties can do. You asked the question then answered for me Mark 🤷‍♂️ Could you not wait !!. The point of my gripe with the covid reaction is the speed at which they managed to turn things around and the actual amount of money involved and the way people bought into utter stupidity so willingly. Remember the killing granny quotes Mark ??. Utter utter shit. There’s a few on here whom should be keeping their heads down big time for the crap they supported and where it brought us. Just thought I’d stick the last pic on as a pretty good description of the current mess we are in and how we got there.
  15. Finnish politics is as clean and boring as it’s possible to be. To be honest I think the opposite in as much as it proves again what lying ott sensationalist arseholes most media outlets are and public opinion will be on her side for it, the media has become all powerful nowadays and seems to revel in pulling people down or scaremongering.
  16. Or indeed the fact many people ( not all admittedly) are waking up to the fact they had the piss taken out of them for the past two years. 3 of the 4 countries you mention were notorious for full on hardcore restrictions 🤷‍♂️Coincidence maybe.
  17. Might be of use to someone on here.
  18. The current topic on here is intrinsically linked to the lunacy of the past two years. Are we not supposed to acknowledge the damage that has been done and where it has led us. No point in crying about big companies and banks etc when many many people whom warned of the consequences were utterly ignored. I know things can’t be changed the utter stupidity and waste we witnessed is indeed now historical but as stated our current situation is in a large part a direct result of that. If a few want to bury their heads in a bucket then crack on.
  19. So so predictable not the wrong thread at all although you’d love it to be so, I don’t drink 42 and haven’t for a long time and on top of that I’m offshore so as usual you are way way off the mark. Genuinely do you really think the current situation is not related in any way to the past two years stupidity??? If so you must be utterly deluded.
  20. Hi All Im on the lookout for a tidy urban tractor unit, pref Leyland Daf Cummins engined 180-220hp ish and manual box. If anyone knows of anything out there drop me a pm please. cheers Dave
  21. It’s a big cross to bear Andy but I’m sure you’ll cope 👍😂
  22. Come on42 realistically what on gods earth did you think was gonna be the long term repercussions of, BBL and associated defaults, Furlough schemes to pay people to stay at home, self employed grants etc etc never mind the billions wasted on useless PPE,Testing and quite frankly vaccines of to say the least dubious effectiveness 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️come on actually think about what was done here for a minute 😞. What a lot of that madness you backed achieved was to allow these so called parasites to get back into a position ( or redistribute billions) where they can increase their profits at a monumental scale. I’m pretty sure a few on here warned of the folly of what was being done and again I’m pretty sure a good few more on here defended it all absolutely wholeheartedly and ridiculed anyone whom questioned a single thing “ tin hat being the favourite “didn’t they 42. I really wish there had been a opt in opt out choice where you can play the mad game if you are terrified and believe the bollocks but at the end you have to pick up the tab, whereas if you don’t buy into it and just go about your business, possibly catch covid and get on with things as the overwhelming majority did, you are exempted from the mess and costs that must surely follow 2 years of utter utter stupidity.
  23. No Andy unfortunately not. Sadly many medical professionals were censored throughout the farce when they warned of the likelihood of events as described in this article. Those whom bought into it with a zeal verging on fanaticism will never have the guts or character to admit they made fools of themselves. As time goes by I’m more and more convinced that in the future people will look back at this and think the world went utterly nuts for 2 years. Covid 19 “the jobsworth and opinionated wankers fantasy come true”
  24. I’m trying to think of the last major headline grabbing water storage or collection project ??. I remember Kielder from my childhood but not much since. Maybe it’s time to follow in the footsteps of our Victorian forefathers and create some reservoirs rather than giving water companies the option to meter water and make even more profit. I’ve been fortunate enough to dive and carry out maintenance on some stunning dams and draw off towers over the years from that era, ( Yorkshire water had by far the best examples)the workmanship and skills involved in their construction was absolutely staggering.
  25. Read the tone and content of your reply and then tell me it’s not Both condescending and patronising in the extreme !!. Bear in mind the access to information you have and that which a woman in her seventies did during her lifetime.
