  1. Lifting of last lockdown restrictions on 21 June should be in doubt, Tony Blair Institute suggests APPLE.NEWS ‘Being prepared to change the strategy could save thousands of lives’ I cannot get my head around the fact this lying sanctimonious piece of shit whom should in reality be serving a long jail sentence still gets headlines.
  2. COVID-19: Regular exercise may cut COVID-19 death risk by a third, major study finds APPLE.NEWS Regular exercise reduces the chances of dying from infectious diseases such as COVID-19 by... Take the ONS stats about 27% of reported covid deaths not actually being due to but with covid then add the exercise study etc !!. The money, industry and impetus behind Covid has a momentum all of its own right now that bears zero relationship to actual risk anymore. Sadly the news about the young people most effected in the jobs market being the least vulnerable by a huge margin to covid was all too predictable.
  3. Your welcome. In regards the import duty I’d say luck of the draw. I made a large purchase from an EU based manufacturer but sorted it all out before the deadline. Admittedly delivery is late but the reason I get every time for that is Covid not Brexit.
  4. Opinion | Biden is making the Trump presidency seem like a golden age of unity APPLE.NEWS Just as Democrats redefined “infrastructure,” the president is now trying to redefine... Not really a surprise.
  5. Yeah maybe if I’d been a little more sagacious I’d have not had the near miss, luckily said thumb is potatoe fine 👍😆
  6. Nearest I’ve come to having an accident with the splitter is indeed when feeding it whilst another person operated the two handles. Slight misunderstanding between us and just nipped my thumb, luckily managed to pull my hand away sharpish and no harm done but defo a reminder of the potential for harm.
  7. I know one thing Les it’s defo farther away 😀
  8. There should be a new topic on what did you do with your old woodlands mill steel delivery crate, I’ve made mine into a workbench using whatever was lying around, proper solid it turned out too, bit of a pickle where it’s currently at but it’s on the list of things to do ie tidy that patch up.
  9. Bit of flat bar and round tube and ten mins with a mig, need to reduce the height of the handle a touch and will get round to sticking a spare MX Bike grip on at some point. Night and day difference for the better when using the machine.
  10. Any pics of the quick release parts being mentioned??.
  11. Chatting to Chris Les ref some parts and he was mentioning a few things that are being looked at that being one of them. Not sure if it’s gonna be on a different range of machines mind.
  12. I think a few things like electric raise and lower etc might be an option at some point.
  13. Went for the Aberlour in the end, guy was more than happy with that.
  14. Well I did the same but in a cell in the guardroom at pirbright, woke up in the morning to the screaming voice of the provost Colour Sergeant, spent the next 4 hrs being beasted around the barracks with a floor polishing bumper above my head.
  15. Yep it’s bloody hilarious eh many is the time you have asked for explanations and the standard what would you do kind has been used often enough. So what do you see as hilarious now ??, what is the point of mass testing at this stage and why is UCL science now to be disregarded??
  16. Assume, presume ??? Exactly 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ does it really make any sense at all at this point ??
  17. I’ve read and read and reread data and statistics until I’m sick of it. Not whinging and have carried on as best I can throughout this. As for don’t worry about it if it’s a conspiracy, and let’s stop vaccines for the vulnerable etc that’s just the standard tactic of trying to demean anyone whom has concerns over the reaction or actions taken I regard to this situation. Not so easy to say if you have lost a business or family home. Not wanting to sound like 42 but the mass lateral flow testing rollout rational ??. Please enlighten me as to the value of this exercise. Follow the science is indeed what I thought this was all about. The use of one source of data or modelling predictions has been used multiple times to justify measures taken since the beginning of this. Ie Ferguson’s worst case scenario model. The thing that I found ironic is the questioning of Fristons work !!, I have mentioned on numerous occasions the huge overestimates factually attributed to Ferguson’s modelling on previous issues. Anyone active within the farming community will elaborate on this.
  18. I wonder how the end product would turn out if your often high moisture content off the mill sawdust was used.
  19. I’m not sure what options are available engine wise on the 130 max but I’m sure Chris at woodlands would keep you right. Regards is the extra cost worth it 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️, I guess it’s how much you want to spend really, 5 ish buys the 130 max, not sure what the logosol goes out at but as with all things you can just keep going up and up in price etc. I’d say if you can load yourself and use said machine to assist with handling whilst on the mill, combine that with securing it to a good solid base you’d not go far wrong with the 130 max. A decent bit of engineering nouse and you could easily make some worthwhile mods to make like easier, good mate of mine has ordered the same mill and has spent time on my 130 he has a list of mods that he is gonna attempt once it’s all set up but he does have the advantage of a very well equipped workshop.
  20. The chilling truth is we may never be permitted to return to normality APPLE.NEWS Anyone turning on their television after returning home from an unseasonably chilly bank holiday... I truly hope he is wrong but I fear a lot of what he says is all happening around us in plain sight. We have always been told follow the science, couple of questions I have for the members whom have advocated that path. 1, what is the point of the dishing out of the lateral flow tests on the scale proposed??. 2, science is now stating we are approaching herd immunity yet Hancock is choosing to totally ignore that fact. The more I look at the headlines the more I see the arguments for any of this making sense literally falling apart.
  21. You are correct Les, Covid is causing significant issues too in regards build time at the moment.
  22. I’d take the 3 phase option all day if I had it and was going the static route. I’ve ran a 130 set up for mobile use for a while and it’s been a great bit of kit. Mates just ordered a 130 max that’s gonna be set up in the static mode so the opportunity for comparison should be interesting. I’ve seen Andy’s Logosol and he’s right in saying it’s a well thought out and engineered bit of kit.
  23. Would you be going got a static or mobile, 3 phase or petrol ?
  24. Hi All Few pics I’ve been sent of a tree that needs removed and the guy is looking to get some of it milled. He says it’s walnut. Thoughts ??
