  1. Could alway buy wood and cut/split your own logs, after the logs I was buying going down in quality & volume I decided to buy wood from a local tree guy and split my own. I pay more for the arb waste than most seem to on here but I'm still saving on cost of split logs. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    Laptops

I've got a second hand 2010 MacBook it's nothing special but at less than £300 including ram upgrade, with no worries over viruses and smoother running than any windows laptop I've used. Might be worth looking on eBay Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Just an air filter ATM so I can see how it cuts but I'm thinking about doing a full strip and refurb over the summer (if it's worth it) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Husky 50 rancher 1983 which I'm finding a pain to get bits for Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. I'm on a detailing forum & Nilfisk is the best of the cheaper ones according to most car detailers unless you want a pro machine then kranzle seems to be the name. Sent from my D6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. We are in a small village (less than 200 house's) but due to distance from exchange half have fibre and half don't yet (coming in a month or so) Ours tests at 6.5mbps download & 0.60mbps upload, funny thing is everyone else in our have get 2.5mbps download on a good day and nobody knows why ours is better (not that I'm complaining) Sent from my D6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. I think aspen (or equivalent) is a must for anyone who uses stuff on/off, I now run my lawnmower on aspen 4. Rob Horsepowerimages
  8. I have a husky 135 that I use for cutting firewood so it gets used for a few days then not for weeks, I have always run it on aspen with no issues in starting or anything else. I know it's a different saw but I would never go back to pump fuel. Sent from my D6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. I only use mine for logging firewood and after my aldi special died I was convinced by my local garden machinery store to get a Mitox cs41...... DO NOT do that. Imo they are total rubbish and I ended up getting a husqavana 135 which it twice the saw and never let me down. As said above don't forget ppe, I always use rigger boots, chainsaw chaps & hat with ear defenders/face guard. If you are new to chainsaws I'd also recommend using the rotatech chains as they are so cheep you won't be as bothered if/when you blunt the chain or screw up sharpening 👍 Rob Horsepowerimages
  10. tbh that took way longer than I expected 😂😂 Rob Horsepowerimages
  11. Just shown these videos to my Mrs who has never used a saw but loves wood. Now she thinks you are trying to sell the chain in the second video but she would have the one in the first as she feels it's a cleaner cut and also looks smoother in use. I bought 2 of the piranha chains for cutting my firewood which is mainly arb wast. I don't feel they are really any better or worse for what I need so to me the saving is worth it. 12. Thank you 👍👍 hopefully I will get some use out of the pos Rob Horsepowerimages
  13. Cheers guys, it's the mitox I'm wanting to put a smaller bar on as I just don't feel ots upto the 16" bar, the shop who sold me it are adamant that the saw is perfect and tbh it is aslong as you don't want to cut anything bigger than 6". I love my little husky but it seems a shame to leave the mitox on the shelf if I can get some use out of it. My hope is that a friend can use it to give me a hand doing our firewood. Rob Horsepowerimages
  14. Thanks that was my way of thinking, do I just search the code on the bar but just look for a 12" bar & chain? Or am I missing something important Rob Horsepowerimages
  15. Hi guys I know I've not been around for a few months but I have a quick question about bar size. I bought a Mitox cs41 (ok stop laughing) last November and after returning to the shop 3 or 4 times due to it being c@#p they fitted a new carburettor but it was still rubbish so I chucked it on shelf and left it & bought a husqavana 135. Fast forward to now and the Mrs said "can't you put a smaller bar and chain on it?" So that's my question, can I put a 12/14" bar on it? I asked mitox who said it's designed specifically for a 16". Now my husky says 12-16" bar so I would have thought the mitox would be similar. If it's a stupid question tell me to sod off and I will leave it on the shelf but if I can drop a size I feel it could make the saw usable again. Rob Rob Horsepowerimages
  16. The one of her asleep was just a quick pic with my phone but I so wish I'd taken it with my camera so I could have it put on canvas. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  17. Giving any animal a second chance is fantastic, it can be hard work but it's worth it 👍 One thing I will say to anyone thinking about a beagle is be prepared for the noise. Everybody told us that beagles are vocal but we didn't think it would be too bad.... Wow how wrong can you be pmsl She's the hardest most difficult dog we've ever had but definitely the most rewarding 🐶 and how can anybody say no to that face Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  18. Here's my jack cross, she's coming up 9yrs but is only just starting to slow down This is our rescue beagle. She just over a yr old but when we got her beginning of December you could count her ribs from across the room, she didn't trust anybody or even know her own name Had to put this one up too
  19. We have a multi fuel in the kitchen & when we had a new kitchen fitted last year the guys tested the fan/fire by put in a smoke bomb in & turning the fan on. As no smoke was pulled from the fire everyone was happy to sign off on it. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  20. Ive had it for the last 2 yrs & it's always been on the wall in the kitchen, the Mrs likes it & even says it's very well photographed. Somehow I've forgot to order next years Guess it's my first job for the morning
  21. Only just seen this, thanks for that but I've just haf a load dropped off that I wasn't expecting (free conifer) so don't really want to upset my usual guy.
  22. Used aspen for the first time today & I will not go back to petrol/oil mix. The smell is just about non existent & I didn't have to get changed to do the school run, not to mention the fact that I can just put the saw in the shed after use & not worry about draining it. That's a win win for me
  23. I really do wish I'd gone for that as its about what I'm out of pocket so far

    Aspen cans

I just paid £19.99 for 5L of 2T at my local garden machinery centre
  25. I got talked into a mitox cs41 by my local store but after taking it back it has had the fuel lines, fuel filter & car replaced but I still don't think it's right. I have replaced it with a husqvarna 135 which in my opinion is a lot better saw. I would say spend the extra on the husky over the mitox.
