  1. Probably lol what I will have spent with this & now the husky 135 I could have got a dolma 420 from shavey I guess I learned the lesson this time
  2. UPDATED I finally got to take the mitox back to the shop. After changing the fuel filter, fuel lines & finaly the carb it seems to be running better. I would say perfect but it still doesn't sound right to me but as small 2stroke is not my speciality I just went with what he said. So if anybody is looking for a "as new" mitox I know of one for sale
  3. That explains it, I should have spent the extra money but we live & learn I guess
  4. I was quoted on the Dolmar ps-420sc I would have loved one but out of what I wanted to spend. In the end I went with the mitox cs41 but I'm not happy with it so replaced it with the husky 135 which feels so much better in the hand & in the cut IMO
  5. When I asked the other week I was quoted £350 I'm not 100% it's the same saw but if it is I would have had one at £220
  6. Wish I was closer but I'm York & would need delivery:(
  7. I just bought a husqvarna 135 to replace my mitox cs41(less than 2months old). All I can say is the husky feels in a different league, I've only done 2hrs with it but I would recommend it for light work.
  8. Still not taken it in due to other commitments but I bought a husqvarna 13. The husky is so much better & more like my old saw. I did have a chat with mitox on Twitter but they suddenly stopped replying. Hopefully this week will be less manic & I will get to the shop for it sorting or even a refund.
  9. I'm no expert but I think you paid over the top, this cost me £200 the summer of 2014 & I have another load due anytime now. Sorry about pic size I'm on my phone
  10. When we moved into our house btopenreach put new wire to the house & we got the last 'new' wire available from the box but the best we got with sky was 1.5mb so after 2 years we switched to plusnet & instantly jumped to 5.5-6mb. We now have 7mb 99% of the time yet most of the village get less than 2.5mb. I think that proves that service provider has a lot to do with it. Superfast northyorkshire are sorting fibre optic but as we are over the magic 1.2 kilometer from the box we need to wait for the new equipment to be installed.

    bloody mice!

We often get the mice under the bath at this time of year but I've found a standard trap with a small blob of Nutella chocolate spread does the trick & within 4-5 days no more mice.
  12. Wow I wish we could get away with 3 ton for a full year, I'm guessing it's not your only fuel/heat. We only have one multifuel fire that runs hot water & central heating. Most people around here 10 to 15 ton is normal if it's your only heat/hot water fuel.
  13. It was the 14" at that price but I went with the 16" as I felt it gave me more options also the chain is the same as my old saw so I would have a spare.
  14. Thanks for the reply I hope your right. In nr York & the saw is just under 3 weeks old.
  15. Maybe I am expecting too much but when I pay £170 for a saw I expect it to as good if not better than the refurbished gardenline I paid £40 for. I'm nor after name calling or trouble causing but I just wish I'd stuck to my own plan & not got talked into this by the salesman. I'm off back to the shop this week so we will see what they say, if all fails I will just stick it on ebay & buy something else seen as I've just been 5old I've another 8-10 ton of hardwood coming
  16. The guy at the shop who set it up was cutting a 3"-4" bit of old softwood which it does fine so in his words "it's fine m8 enjoy" Thing is I would expect a 16" bar to cut a lot bigger than 4" Would it be worth trying a 14" bar? As 5hats got to be cheeper than a new saw
  17. I don't know if it's me or what but i dont think its have the saw my old aldi one was, even the wife said just buy that husky 171 or whatever it is lol
  18. I don't want to cause any problems for anybody I just wish I'd never bought the thing lol Fingers crossed I get it sorted in the next few days. I have a new bar & chain that I'm going to try just to rule out problems with them.
  19. I've got no idea I usually write names down of people but I couldn't find a pen, I've been trying to remember but nothing is working in my head lol
  20. I fully agree with what your saying & as soon as I find time I will be going back to the shop. The sope also said that it wasnt like mitox to have that attitude but I guess everyone has off days. I do hope it can be sorted as I really do like to support local people.
  21. Only used it for 4-4.5hrs but it doesn't even have the power to cut 6" softwood. I took it back & the shop set the cab up but it's still bogging down in the cut I even rung mitox & told them I wasn't happy & now have no confidence in the saw, the reply I got was " I'm not suprised sir" I went on to say how I was going to sell the chainsaw & buy something else even if that left me out of pocket. His reply......"I don't blame you" Wtf is wrong with these people?? I guess I should have just bought a husky/stihl lol only problem then is happens if it goes wrong? So what sold I get? Only want to spend £200-£250

    Husky 50 rancher

Yep done all that my next thing to try is putting the bar & chain from my old saw on as I know they both work fine. Now I just need it to stop raining lol

    Husky 50 rancher

What a complete waste of money the mitox saw is/was I've done lass than 3 hrs with it and the chance stops at the slightest thing even trying to cut 4-5" limbs
  24. I would love to collect but unfortunatelyI can't even pull a trailer without a towbar
