  1. I'm hoping to find someone who sells un prosesed wood nr York, I will probably be looking to buy 10ton in the new year so I can get it cut/split & stacked for next winter. I would need someone who can deliver as I find it difficult getting any amount in the back of my qashqai lol I'm not sure on how much I can expect to pay as my last 2 loads have been from a 'friend' but unfortunately the last lot is not up to much but by the time I realised what it was it had been dumped on my drive
  2. I had the baby c110 for 3 yrs & was so impressed that I replaced it with the c120 which is more than enough for car cleaning & the path/patio, I will never buy any other brand of pw It's worth looking on amazon for offers & also cleanstore.Co. uk

I'm starting to think my local dealer just wanted to sell me a new saw. Just about everyone else is saying the black top parts will fit my orange top saw, I have had an offer of a black top saw at a good price but I just don't want to put another £50 into this if it's going to end up wasted

I've got no idea at all But I ended up buying a mitox 16" bar for less that £150 with 2 yrs domestic garantee. I know it's not up to pro spec but as long as it cuts my firewood I will be happy. Now just need to decide if I mess with the husky or just sell it for parts. I can't find anything for it & as it's probably an early 80s saw is it really worth messing with? ? Rob

Just been to my local machinery shop who advised the black top & white top are not interchangeable So now I'm undecided about what to do as I don't fancy ending up with 2 saws that don't work

Does anybody know if the parts from the black top model will fit on the white top model that I have?? I'm struggling to get parts & a member has offered to sell me a black top model for parts Rob

That sound good to me at least I should have everything to make one good saw that will last a few yrs.

Great offer 👍 so far I'm needing air filter but how much would you want for the whole saw? I would just need to sort out getting then

That would be very helpful thank you, I'm not going to give up just yet. The only others I've seen as running are £150 so I guess even if I put £100 into it im still doing ok Rob

I've managed to get the pull start working (just about) it has good spark but ive found the air filter is missing I just have the plate on the carb, now I'm thinking I need to check the barrel as no doubt it was run without the filter. Need to find a good place for bits as I can't find stuff on eBay. Maybe I should have just bought a new 135 😂😂

Would I be right in thinking this is incomplete ? If so will it be model specific?? Thanks

My thought is it's got to be better that a Chinese cheepo & when I've finished playing with it I will know exactly what is what.
  14. So I just bought an unloved husky for £50 The saw run fine last time it was used 2yrs ago (I was there) but since then it's just been stuck under the bench in a garage. My plane is strip/clean & hopefully get running, my question is was it worth it or have I just bought a door stop? Any advice is welcome Rob
  15. Thanks for the help 👍 I did message a guy on here about the dolmar420 but it's more than I want to spend but I've also woke up to a message from a friend on Facebook who has an old husky I can have for less than £100 so I'm going to have a look what modle it is and go from there.
  16. It's my 1st proper saw, the aldi one served me well but I can't get parts so I'm left with no option but to spend, local guy only seems interesting in pushing the miltox so I will more than likely buy online. I think I'm leaning more towards the husky due to the bigger engine but who knows 😂😂
  17. The only reason the Mrs has a say is because I like my man parts & ive been on a bit of a spending spree the last couple of months I was starting to think the stihl/husky debate is a lot like canon/Nikon when it comes to dslr camera. My tight Yorkshireman side still says to buy which ever stihl/husky my local machinery guy is selling at the £200mark. Who knew buying a chainsaw would be so difficult
  18. Tbh I think I could be very tempted with second hand but the Mrs likes the new with guarantee & not abused buy others 👍 I've been reading more on here & was wondering is the husky 435 worth the extra over the 135? £280 instead of £185 yet doesn't seem much different on specks
  19. I was looking at older ones but a few guys round here said unless it's been serviced I need to allow another £80-£100 for service/check over
  20. As a Yorkshireman I'm always on a budget but I'm happy to go to £250 but I've found the husqvarna for £185 from forest&arb which I'm leaning towards
  21. Evening everyone I've joins as I'm looking for a new chainsaw. My aldi special has done nearly 2yrs & just under 20 ton of log cutting but finally died today oil pump & worn drive teeth, I'm looking at the stihl 171/181 or the husqvarna 135 even though my local machinery shop recommend the mitox.
