  1. Takes one to know one joe Anyway it doesnt count if its only on a saturday night
  2. Haha-yip ive been known to pull on a girly harness and take the slow ride up. Not by choice i might add...i work for my Local council- i dont make the rules.
  3. Why would i be joking mick? Climbing should always be the last option
  4. Mewp should always be the 1st concideration, climbing should be the last option, even if the tree is in a perfectly healthy condition.
  5. Looks like a great product but is it any better than a cambium saver with a pulley...probably not...and twice the price no doubt.
  6. Took 3 stings the other day while using a pole pruner to reduce a hedge.Wasps are bastards and no amount of "They do this or that" is going to change my opinion of them.
  7. Used marlow viper 70cm eye to eye for VT on hitch climber set up,quite sporty and quick. Prefer zigzag now
  8. Termination knot on climbing rope
  9. Rigging applications for me bowline is king That sounds a bit yoda!
  10. Great knot for beginners and old timers alike. I still revert to it now and again on small tree climbs or choggin down a stem as a waist anchor. Ive used 8mm stein 65cm prussik loop and 10mm marlow boa. Also good for some rigging applications, 2:1 etc
  11. Any particular reason why that beaky buzzard things got a really bad Italian accent ? Obviously made in a time before stereotyping or political correctness was a concideration
  12. Too late its already here, have you seen the rope wraptor ? Its a 2 stroke engine thats clips on to your harness( or saddle if you prefer )and rope then pulls you up the tree. The internet, youtube and facebook are full of video's made by homeowners doin tree work-badly!!!
  13. The body will adapt to the stresses placed upon it.I can do 12 body weight pull ups but they wont make me a better climber, just better at doing pull ups. To become a better climber its better to practise climbing or just climb every day. There are merits to keepin fit by whatever means you see fit but resistance training by hypertrophy has no real influence in how one performes aloft in my opinion.
  14. If you were one on each wrist would that end up like handcuffs then.??
  15. I personally dont think muscle ups, pull ups or any other kind of ups assist when climbing ropes.Add to that the amount of friction ascenders on the market now to aid climbing. Maybe free climbers...
  16. We dont need to do one handed chin ups in Glasgow...were all proper hard.
  17. Seems like a love em or hate em type of deal with the power ranger lid
  18. Great guy on the rigging, great watch cheers mark
  19. Needs more than a transit for all the stretchers, defibullators, plasma drips and tonne bags of celox he carries around joe
  20. Yip i also shortend the bridge on my treemotion just undo one of the knots and retie it further up with the same knot,if memory serves its just a fishermans knot init
