  1. Surley if he was a cheddar man he'd be orange....
  2. Well done for finally reposting martin and putting this too bed,it was starting to get beyond silly. Hope you get what you would define as a decent quote.
  3. Nope its up to you to back up your claims with proof, that is how we prove FACT from fiction or in this case twaddle that has come from your head. You think my wife taking her car to a garage would somehow back up your claims that this farmer thinks his wife has been purposely over quoted by a dodgy tree surgeon... Thats a stretch mate even for you...
  4. Crackin pics paul, you seem to have brought the good weather up there with you...
  5. Shhh! Your givin away my insider trade secrets kevin.. I did offer a horseshit sandwich but it wasnt met with much appreciation...strange that!
  6. Its up to you to back up your claims with proof pal not me. I take it you've exhausted the internet search tryin to prove your more than dubious claims..and my neighbour does all my vehicular repairs because he's a decent bloke and his prices are very competative. The wife and i have took our vehicles too him,he has also trusted us with lookin after his dogs whilst on holiday.
  7. Nope not buying that one... An american study thats now 6 years old thats shows marginal discrepincies in quotes aint gonna cut it big boy. Off you must go and find more studys to back up your claims.. Oh but can you make them relevant and up to date please,i dont enjoy reading twaddle
  8. To be fair mate, most of the folks that say that have remunerated us accordingly but you do get that one cheeky bastard...
  9. And what evidence have you got to back up your claims? Is this real evidence with a study to back it up or are we talking preconceptions in your head that seem perfectly normal to you due to your sexist opinion. You are jumping to some conclusions wirh your last statement but to be fair its difficult to work out just what is going on in the "farmers " head. It boils down to the fact that most folks think tree work is a doddle and all you do is cut down a tree with a chainsaw, i mean it'll only take 5 minutes,so they expect the price to match a predisposed attitude.unfortunatly most tree surgeons come across this all to frequently. Joe public dont understand we have to run a business with all the costs that entails.
  10. Nope the wife got the quote as the wife contacted the tree surgeon to get a quote.Always best to do a quote on site as pictures can be very misleading. Also whats wrong with giving a female a quote? Are they incapable because theyre all giggley and have boobies.. Women are just as capable as men when dealing with workmen quoting for jobs. Sounds like a little misogyny in your tone fella...
  11. Something tells me he's read half of this thread and decided best not come back. We do come across as a thoroughly understanding bunch
  12. Your sayin he lives on a farm, goes on farming forums and is a tight arse but he's not a farmer... Maybe.. but if i was a gambling man id say he's farmer... If it looks and smells like shite.. Odds on its shite...
  13. 2 things, 1.we can only judge this farmer on his post and 2.he still hasnt responded to any of the comments on this thread,by that id say he has the potential to be a pita customer who thinks tree surgeons are conning gits. I am by no means tarring all farmers with the same brush but i know a few and if the shoe fits...
  14. Did you have butter or marg with your cowshit sandwich...
  15. Warming up on the squat rack. The rack at my gym mostly lies empty.
  16. Nah...its a farmer mate A shilling a day and a horseshit sandwich...
  17. Seems to me like everyones missed a trick here.. Why doesnt said farmer just use the bucket on his tractor to gain access to the tree and "chop" it down himself He's bound to have an 038 in his shed anyway.. His wee Mrs can drive the tractor..
  18. I know alot of folk just use a strop when on a pole with spikes but after 2 gaff outs and a couple of shit my pants moments i ALWAYS use a waist anchor.Adjustable ring to ring cambium saver is good or just choker your climbing system on.
  19. Bloody gardeners doing tree work...!!! Oh wait i was a gardener... Now i do tree work... I'll get me coat...
  20. My 346xp landed today spud, lookin forward to lettin her rip... Thanks for your hard work mate
  21. I use a zillion at work, its not great, the art positioner is miles better. Next time your up a conifer use spikes so you dont leave pegs for footholds. If you slip, a peg in the ribs would be very very painfull
  22. Comparing labour to tories is like being told you have to get cancer,so which cancer would you choose? Both are as bad as each other...
  23. Its knackered remove it.We had 2 in one of our parks that did the same thing. To me its beyond help.
