  5. no this was by some so called tree surgeons who done the work for the first house drove up the road and dumped it into another random garden
  6. today i was told of the most blatent bit of cheek by folk ,they evidently cleared a garden and reduced some trees, loaded their van/pick up,drove to the bottom of the road and tipped the lot into someone elses drive, this all happened in the road i live in,can it get any worse?
  7. just make sure that any replacement pump will match the settings of the injectors,ie the pressures that they operate at,as there can be many variants,so can lead a good pump not having the correct pressure to open the injectors, even tho the pump is fine, its a very complex thing and they must match each other in operating pressures, hope this has helped you in sorting out a bad situation, but you could be very lucky and get away with it if there was not too much water through the pump, regards gdane
  8. i spent 29 yrs working on diesel motors/injection systems and they work to such fine tolerances lubed by the diesel fuel, hence the large amount of fuel returned to the tank, that any long term usage with water in the fuel system reduces the pressure generated by the pumps,sometimes,180 bar,or 180x 14.7psi,and greater with common rail engines, that they fail to inject fuel into the cylinders from the injectors, which are designed to only open the part that injects fuel into the cylinder at pressures near to the pump pressure under perfect conditions, the water and crud that enters the pump wears the rotors away lowering the pressure generated, any water in a modern diesel system is the kiss of death to it,any water/crud coming out of the injectors pipes is a bad sign and poss wont generate enough pressure once its all built up under cranking over, hope this dont scare.or upset you but years of seeing non starts due to worn pumps killed by water is a regular thing caused by filters not getting changed, and the biggest cause of water in fuel tanks is condensation in the winter caused by hot fuel being returned to the cold tank,in the winter always keep the tank full as poss to keep the fuel cool as poss, hope this helps, spent many years solving pump/injection problems,i see you have fuel coming out of the pipes with no injectors fitted, this will happen, but if the pump pressure is reduced it will not open the injectors,it is designed to do this to prevent premature injection before the piston is in correct position, its all very complex, but any wear will not trigger the injection
  9. many thanks,i thought it might be the solitary bee,but was not sure, what ever it is they are very entertaining and hard working and we wont disturb them until the end of the season, thanks once again

  19. hi dean,i am talking to you about them allready by email, but it never hurts to do a bit of reserch your self,i will meet up with you at sandown, got another heavy day with the nimble pred on friday
  20. you will need an operaters license, and an op base, poss have to apply to vosa for all this, tacho rules can be varied,if in a circle from your base of a bout 50kms,but it is a minefield, also you will need regular inspections by either a garage or yourself, but these will need to be documented and available to vosa to inspect, and of course the mot will be by vosa, not much sricter, but less leeway for small things unlike a class 7 test,i would stick with 3.5 ton,so much less hasasel unless you are a big firm
  21. tell its 50%of the cost to fell the tree,so tree down,100,stump 50,if you have to hire think you will be out of pocket, sub it out and a bit on for you is best

  24. just remember the web site aint worth zero to him if hes not using it,it will cost him money, and i can assure you a web site dont cost 10k,my son done his own,and advertises on yell and their web stuff, and he does well, dont bother with his stuff ,and as for the gear, you could buy new gear thats not knacked or worn out,20k could set up a great firm
  25. why not build up your own clients and advertising?i have my own stump grinding buisness,i get all my work word of mouth, dont advertise and do very well,if i advertised i would be flat out,and my son started his own garden and small tree type stuff firm and is flat out now, have your own identity,be your own man
