  1. My groundhog would disagree, he was stung by a European hornet. Very painful. I was going to change the autocorrect from groundhog to groundie, but I like it!
  2. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/training-education/108219-pershore-college-arboriculture-images.html Here's his last contribution. So sad:grinning-smiley-003
  3. It makes me laugh when people ask to be removed from the forum. Just don't post anymore.
  4. Not sure you're entirely correct. Not too many good years for elms these days.
  5. Already on the turn here, leaves starting to discolour
  6. Nice picture of a beautiful creature.
  7. Imagine if you had put 20% on your prices, you'd lose some work for sure, but so what? You have work till the end of September say, no big loss. I think that's the point Johnny was making.
  8. Book it in as soon as possible, firm date, then I can schedule extra workers/grab lorry as early as possible. Try and keep some easy jobs jangling around in my diary that can be done anytime, use those to fill in if we finish ahead of schedule or it's terrible weather and a large job can't be done.
  9. You asked for an example, he gave it.
  10. Jersey tiger moth, a daytime moth that I hadn't seen until I came here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euplagia_quadripunctaria Well camouflaged until it opens its wings to take flight and the red inner wing shows. Managed to free this one from a window
  11. I was talking about highlighting particular parts of the text, which I could do on a laptop.
  12. I don't know enough about Rugby to say, but the pundits from both sides seemed to think it was justified.
  13. Barry Norman dead: 'Remarkable' former film critic, BBC presenter and writer dies aged 83 Barry Norman, always enjoyed his film review show. Seemed like a good guy.
  14. So this week I opted to go shopping and missed it. I suppose I'll have to go shopping next week for the team!
  15. Nicely put together, looks like you're having fun.
  16. Nasty tree to work on, well done. Looked cold, when was it filmed?
  17. If there is indeed root plate lift, I'll add the "if" because often it can be imagined, and it has occurred recently, then the outlook is not good. Bear in mind that any pruning work will probably cost nearly the same as removal.
  18. Anyone else enjoying the reaction of the touchy-freely corbynistas today after he showed an iron fist to some front bench remainers? I'm almost warming to him (almost!) Delicious.http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/politics/politics-headlines/did-you-forget-im-a-hard-brexit-madman-asks-corbyn-20170630130785
  19. Quoting photos grinds my gears, so yay on that one. On an iPad I cannot (or haven't yet worked out) how to quote small portions of text, so have to quote the whole text, so hold the trigger finger for that.
  20. Not been yet. Nice place to live and work though.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
