  1. There is no way I’m totally abstaining till the doctor tells me to. I love a drink in the evening, sometimes I overdo it a little, but after 35 years of it I think I’m quite proficient.
  2. Well good luck with it. Seems a shame to jack it in at the height of your powers, but you know your mind.
  3. Arses were touched. Some ‘Inappropriate behaviour’ Not really that serious is it? No need for counselling. Let’s all agree not to do it next year and put down the smelling salts.
  4. Nah, just a bit bewildered by the world these days. (Post wasn’t serious btw) Is a few waitresses who have been told to wear revealing clothes getting their arses touched such a big deal? Millions raised for charity, couldn’t they just say next year we’ll change the format?
  5. It’s getting so you can’t even give a bird a friendly squeeze of the arse to say well done. I gave a tidy sort a friendly pat in a pub recently after she walked past, she kicked off and ’apparently’ there was a hand shaped red mark on her rear end that matched my hand, I don’t remember giving it that hard a whack but I was mullered mind. You’d think she’d be happy someone appreciates a good looking rear end.
  6. Well, no one can tell you yes or no, you’re young enough to do it. Money in this game is only half decent if you’re self employed. Good luck.
  7. As you say, money isn’t everything, and you only get one life. I’ve worked in warehouses and understand your desire to get out. How old are you? It’s been said before but why not do a short stint for a tree firm to see how you like it?
  8. So where does it end? I was watching clips of Little Britain the other day, I was reading somewhere that Matt Lucas said they’d never get away with the two bad transvestites these days, that’s what, 10 years ago?
  9. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/jan/23/crocodile-dundee-was-sexist-racist-and-homophobic-lets-not-bring-that-back Now, lets be clear 2 and 3 were poor and this new one looks terrible but dissing the 1st Crocodile Dundee? I cannot get my head around what a joyless sanctimonious plonker this journalist must be.
  10. So what’s the plan? Have I missed something in the ‘what’s your exit strategy?’ thread?
  11. How much were they? And was that all night? Just curious.
  12. Loads of similar type threads on here. https://arbtalk.co.uk/forums/forum/18-training-education/
  13. Agreed Kevin, a lot depends on visibility. If it’s good in both directions, and there’s only a couple of things to come down I’ve done it on the fly.
  14. Ahh, good, that was helpful. It’s never been pruned so it is, as you say, a mass of twisted nonsense. looks like it’s time to get heavy with it, starting tomorrow.
  15. So, around 4 years ago I planted a white wisteria next to my house at the foot of an arbor, eventually I had a dream of running it along the front of the house as you can see arrowed in the photos. For a while it did very little but last year it seemed to get the bit between its teeth and took off. This is the year I’m going to train it up to a frame I’ve just strung up on the front (south facing). First question: Should I thin out the ‘lesser’ growth showing in the picture (thinner sprouts from the main stem) to improve the energy levels going to the rest? Second question: How does one prune to improve flower production? Thanks in advance. Mick
  16. I don’t like Diane Abbot, I think she’s incompetent at best. But to have a thread about the ‘loony left’ where the sort of stuff that’s being posted about her on this thread is beyond irony.
  17. I’m sure all of us on here are just as attractive as we were in our twenties.
  18. Sorry, dunno. Call Orange Plant in the morning.
  19. Iirc, it’s water temperature, there was a thread about it years ago. If you don’t have the water in the system it won’t work, ie leaking rad etc. If the rad is choked with dust but you have coolant it works fine.
