  1. Then it’s on you, you didn’t tell them there was an issue, you just asked them to service it.
  2. Yes, but I’d already have an Avant on site so there’d be an easier clear up.
  3. The video shows it whooping the pants off a 35 hp laski, but of course it’s trying to sell the product.
  4. These seem like the real deal, especially if you have the right machine to put it on. Anyone on here used/owns or had consensual sex with anyone who has seen one care to pass opinion?
  5. Anyway, to give closure. I went and picked up the battery (€700) and tried it out, firstly very heavy, heavier than a 550 petrol, it cut well for 10 seconds then the battery was flat, so I went to charge it and realised I’d need a new charger to go with my two others. This was the straw that broke the camels back, so I took the saw and battery back to the dealer, said I didn’t want them, did a deal for an Echo 2511 and left it there. Conclusion: unless you’re not spending your own money ie. you purchase saws for a council or the like, don’t get this saw.
  6. It’s social engineering by TV executives (the gatekeepers) The easiest way into TV comedy is on these terrible fake comedy panel shows, so if you’re chosen to get a spot through DEI, you’re onto a winner, you can just hide behind others and occasionally say something rude about a Tory MP get a laugh from the audience and voila! You’re a comedian. It goes hand in hand with mixed race marriages (always with a kid who likes like the cute one from Diversity dance troupe) and drag queens being considered ‘talent’ It’s why British comedy is in the toilet, the gatekeepers want you to think like they do.
  7. Glad other ‘mature’ tree guys still get days with that leaden lump feeling in your guts.
  8. This has blown up a bit on Twitter. Rosie Jones hosting a game show. lots blaming super woke tv execs for putting her in this position.
  9. Mostly bill-hooks.
  10. Hooning it down here, you know what that means! Sore and stiff after an intense week, so I won’t be putting up much of a fight (with myself!)
  11. Wordle 1,679 4/6 🟩⬜⬜🟨⬜ 🟩⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Rushed the third line, stupid guess.
  12. I drove a Land Rover from Durham to Angouleme, all the time cursing myself for buying the bloody witch’s curse. Heater was working in fairness.
  13. Wordle 1,678 4/6 ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  14. Anyone using one of these yet? I’m thinking of getting my young climber one. Like me he cannot abide the ZZ because of its self tending, so was wondering if it self tended at all?
  15. Didn’t take a picture but here’s the scenario. 5/10 year dead oak stem about 40 ft tall has fallen into a house, gutter bent, bit of flashing and a few tiles damaged, not too bad at the moment. Customer (not a previous client) has phoned and asked me to come urgently, when I phoned him back he asked “which company are you?” so I’m not the only one who seen it. It is too risky to climb, it’s just sitting on the rootball, he’s tried to secure it with ropes, but it could still just tip with me on it. I could winch it off but the top could snap and drop onto the roof. Long story short I just turn it down His tone is slightly accusatory towards me. But I tell him, he’s had over 5 years to remove this clearly dead tree, 3 metres from his house, now because he didn’t want to spend the money he wants me to risk my life, and my insurance because of his mistake. Anyway, drove off running it through my mind, I made the right choice, and if you can’t tell them a home truth when you’re in your 60s when can you?
  16. Oh dear! By line three it looked like the Wordle gods were laughing at you.
  17. Up early, day of maintenance and paperwork today after 2 of the hardest days I can remember. Lots of trees, lots of climbing, tricky specs etc. Good money on it though, which helps of course.
  18. Wordle 1,677 3/6 🟨⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  19. Yeah, I keep waiting for the right one. Should have kept the little Takeuchi 1.6 from a few years back.
  20. Wordle 1,676 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨⬜🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  21. I thought this was a joke, but it’s true. What a baby!
  22. Urggghh, Monday! Not feeling it today.
  23. I love this little scene. Watch David Jason struggle not to laugh at Uncle Albert.
