  1. Another one for the SIP. Also really like the pfanner.
  2. Great, i'll phone you some day this week. First have to sort some things out with the house.
  3. About 10 miles south from Hawick.
  4. Thnx biggarwoods, but bit to far for just now. I'll drop by bellawood. We'll bring a small trailer.
  5. Thnx, but for now that's too much. Just looking for an adress where I can pick up a builders bag for now.
  6. Maybe bit of a long shot. Just bought a house near Hawick. We'll go and check it out this week and we'll need some wood for heating the house. Anyone in the area that supplies ready to use logs?

As soon as your a bit more mobile get out with your camera and start making pictures!
  8. Hmmm, the old guy who did it for 40 or so years probably did not charge the same you are charging... They might be in for a shock. Just my gut feeling -had a few customers like that before.
  9. Only take it on if you can mow every two weeks. During a wet warm summer this can allready be to long. I use a TORO z-master and prefer to go every 10 days.
  10. Nice vid! Fun to watch all the different jobs pass by.
  11. Doing drugs or drinking during or just before work is a reason for me to sent people home. Happened more than once -most of the times with apprentices, only once with a full time employee who was also a good friend. I don't do drugs myself -like to be somewhat in controll. Only drink the occasional dram of whisky or a pint on a friday. Don't mind people who like a drink or smoke after work. Only not while working when I have to depend on them.

    Quotes you like!

Trust me.., I'm the son of a lorry-driver.
  13. Don't know, but it's in for repair. Ow, and let's not forget the sword and chain that are f**ked as well. I'm not a big company, so we don't have two of everything... And off course we needed a big saw yesterday with a windblown oak.
  14. I don't lend anything out anymore. It either never gets returned or is returned broken... Last thing that came back broken was my 660 -yesterday...
  15. Same as mine. Says 363C on the tag but is 362C-M. If it jumps back to setting I after you shut it of it's a m-tronic.

    Respect Sean... Hang in there.
  17. Rockport tree, Jerry Beranek... I remember this was in a stihl advert in the 90's -probably before that as well-. Had a poster of it on my bedroom wall.😂 pre-internet times for me.
  18. We use this https://www.gefa-fabritz.de/media/wysiwyg/Documents/Kronenkatalog_2010.pdf But it's in German unfortunately... Maybe they also do an English version as well.
  19. I was not offended. It's just when the machine broke down the people at the place where I bought it told me I wasn't using it correct. Even tough they were the ones that sold me the thing in the first place telling me this was the perfect machine for my splitting. You learn every day😂
  20. I know Typhke, it's not the machines fault -I just don't do well with electrickery... Always hear these things after they break down with me-and very irritatingly are told to me as if they were that obvious for everyone else.
  21. That's it Cornish... At that time I didn't know that. Grew up with conbustion-engines, not electric motors. As for logsplitters, I think that is one big negative point for electric ones. Most people don't split logs in their living room. Converting the old electric-hydraulic splitter to combustion-hydraulic with an old Honda 6,5hp lawn mower at the moment.
  22. Had a 12t 2200w vertical for 3 years, but because I had to use a very long extension cord I had a lot of loss of power and in the end it burned the electric motor. Wasn't economical to replace it. Was gutted because it did a very good job on big beech and pak rings. Went the fiskars route for a year (only for domestic use) but decided to buy a bit bigger (but also a bit more expensive) petrol powered splitter on a road chassis. Bought a rabaud vertical 12t (but noticed the tonnage doesn't mean a thing). Very nice machine, but to expensive for home use -even second hand ones. That said, I still use the fiskars a lot.
  23. Extremely nice and well thought tipper me thinks. Ditched a 130 double cab tipper as a replacement last week due to the lack of lockable tool space -but this puts it on the top of the list again.
