  1. The TT6 is petrol. 37hp EFI Vanguard. We had one in for it's first service last week. The engine is tucked right down inside and difficult to get to the service items. However after going to the Arb Show the panel work on brand new models is apparently updated to give better access. The owner said it performs well and likes it. We didn't stick any material through it in our yard. 750kg turn table machines by design are always going to be awkward to work on. There is an EVO 205 diesel turn table on the horizon. It was showcased at the GaLaBau show in Germany recently.
  2. It's always hard to draw conclusion. You can't expect to sell wood chippers directly on the stand. Some shows it happens, some shows it doesn't. There is often a demonstration to carry out, part exchange machine to value etc. It can be 6-12 months afterwards that the deal happens. The show is in the heart of our patch, just 40 mins from our depot and therefore we saw a lot of customers over the two days. The sun was shining and the beers were flowing Friday night as Pete Bags will confirm...
  3. I didn't realise that was actually you I was talking to at the show!

  5. Interesting, so Forst blades are made by Rotatech?
  6. Wind some boost into her!
  7. We are setup and approved for Vanguard warranty. We have all the diagnostic kit and been on the service courses. We did have several issues with the earlier engines, looms, fuel pumps, sensors etc. The manufacture of the components has changed now. We can report little issues lately on the engines. The 37hp cable throttle unit is soon being superseded the 40hp electric throttle version. With EFI engines, there is obviously an ECU and this ECU needs software updates. No different to your phone really. B&S turn out 500 engines a day, they are shipped around the world and stored in various manufacturers facilities. The engine could be 12 months old for example when its actually used and in that period software updates, possibly preventing forthcoming issues need carrying out. The manufacture of the product, TimberWolf, Forst, GreenMech in this case need to be checking for updates and making sure when the complete machine leaves their factory that the engine is up to date. It is also the dealers responsibility to check for updates and act accordingly on PDI and every service. We have been through this process and we can support the engines fitted into GreenMech wood chippers. Pretty sure we are the only dealer who are, not just on GreenMech, but the other mentioned brands also.
  8. The problem you have is that without an engine dyno you don't know how much to 'turn the diesel' up by. We have worked on diesel engines for years, we were happy with where we set the fuelling to. However cannot accurately say we achieved 34hp. We were comfortable that the engine was running safely and with increased power over 25hp. Naturally there is a risk of just having a go yourself.
  9. We couldn't possibly say if we have de restricted a 25hp V1505...
  10. You were correct, flipped the tyres over on the rims last week. Sidewall protectors on the outside now.
  11. We don't sell paint I'm afraid. There is usually a few shops on eBay selling paint.
  12. Machine finished, out ready for delivery to its new owner.
  13. Oh! Yes, will chase the factory when it opens this morning.
  14. Didn’t notice any on these tyres. But will double check that tomorrow - cheers 😊 Did you get your 19-28 back up and running with the replacement flywheel?
  15. Handy having a tyre fitting machine in the workshop... Tyres and mudguards ready. Coming together... Power (and running this afternoon)
  16. Photos from the powder coating booth...
  17. Not had the bill yet from GreenMech yet... Probably in for £1500-£2,000 or so for all the panel work, chassis, infeed hopper etc. Having the wheels redone silver also. It’s the labour involved that’s the big part. You’re looking 40 or so man hours to strip and re assemble. This machine has now sold! It’s being delivered to its new home next week.
  18. Yeah, it’s a Tomcat 🙂
  19. Chassis collected from GreenMech today. On axle stands, A frame refitted loosely.
  20. From our experience with recore radiators they will do metal "capped" ones, but not plastic. A new radiator through a Kubota engine dealer is usually about £600 odd ex vat.
  21. Generally this is down to worn out shocks.
