  1. totally disagree with you on this ! an Intelligent person should have no opinion on something they know nothing about but look to people who do know to guide them in the correct way !
  2. your first post was on page 5 and as a group managed to ignore you for a whole page but hey ho
  3. I looked it up but couldn't find what it ment ......so your either messing with my head or this is what the youth of today use and your down with the kids and i'm not
  4. got a m8 in kearsly a proper tree surgeon (i'm a proper tree surgeon but he is 10 classes above me ) next time i'm up there maybe i can see your set up ? or take photo next to my m8s house
  5. for me you can do hourly rates but you must keep them in your head and they should only be an about figure not a deffinate
  6. well i'm not a fan of his but i have to say it's funny
  7. so basically put generic tree surgeon terminology and also destroy every target possible around said tree
  8. so going to use this in the future absolutely fab post
  9. I assume you mean charge? I reduced (i say reduced i mean fellled to 12 foot) an oak 2 weeks ago that had butt rot and had been pollarded 2/3 years previously easiest tree job i have ever done ! charged £800 me and the climber climber took wood i chipped the brash into the boarder gone for 4 oclock felt alittle guilty as i took £500 and gave him £ 300 ( great m8 amazing climber and always sorts me out ) and i felt a little guilty at the price ........... then i see what some of you guys want and I feel better
  10. that is true but they don't vary by £1000 aday on this sort of tree ! or maybe they do and i need to charge more
  11. oh forgot to say that tree would be felled and chipped and logged in a day on my work sites ! and i assume it's stacked in the garage which is next to the tree?(are you splitting it too? would need to add to price ) if so wow what a hard job to stack it in there !(where is the sarcasm button) to be fair i don't do stump grinding so can't really price that part of it so will just price the fell £800 for a days work for maybe 2/3 people
  12. at least twice as much ! maintenence gardeners are on more than that for a 10hour day! and yours is a more dangerious and skilled job gardeners charge £25plus an hour in manchester don't under sell your skills
  13. I work with a climber who does this ! everything is thrown in a stack all points the same way in the direction you need to drag or feed the chipper ! it's amazing to watch him work he is so fast it's unreal at times ! he does use a lowering rope on the big stuff though
  14. https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/advice/gardening-for-wildlife/animal-deterrents/cats-and-garden-birds/are-cats-causing-bird-declines/ the rspb begs to differ
  15. that's a load of rubbish ! there fed most cat take very little wild life . foxes, magpies, woodpeckers , birds of pray etc etc etc etc take far more than any domestic cat will
  16. well looking at the model i'm thinking tracked chipper and a log splitter kind of a multi tool
  17. Hi i'm very interested in this and am thankful of the offer i wait in bated breath on your obvious kindness and brilliance with machines!
  18. couple of guys on this thread have got this and have commented on it .use the search on this website to find it
  19. I don't mind them going off on each other but when it is mixed in with what the thread is supposed to be about it just does my head in ! this is my lvl of arb machinery so am interested in the machinery not ..........arguements but heyho
  20. you 2 are spoiling this thread ! one more than the other . this is a thread about wee chippers and there capability and durability not the Crap you 2 are going on about!
  21. lol our opinions on what is cheap are obviously quite different
  22. Where are all these cheap tracked barrows that are being talked about all the time I can't find any!
  23. if you keep the chip it would be even cheaper! its a great weed suppressant and gives back to a garden that sounds like is in great need for a mulch or just add to a compost pile for future use . if it's got difficult access a wee chipper can still do a great job!
  24. a better picture would help close up's of bark and flowers and any budding leaf but could be blackthorn
