  1. Hmmmmmm. Mine is about 7 foot wide, no tail swing, with a slewing boom. What kinda money was in the head, if you dont mind me asking? Less than 20K, or more?
  2. Do you think an 8 tonner would be too big?
  3. I have 1.6 cubic meter, Posch Packfix nets, on pallets, full of seasoned larch, if your interested?
  4. Has anyone fitted a harvester head to an 8 tonne excavator, or similar, for thinning's? Is it cost effective?
  5. Containerised Wood and Log Drying Kilns | Lion Containers Ltd
  6. Change of subject, but been looking on your website. I had the exact same Fastrac, an N reg. She was a fair old beast. Do you like it, any troubles from her?
  7. far aboots are ye?
  8. Sell you some. How many tonnes you after?
  9. its falling quick up here
  10. Pro's and con's to both logs and briquettes. There is a vast range of briquettes on the market, some significantly better than others, and they cant all be tarred with the same brush. A high quality briquette will out burn seasoned logs, and will burn hotter, as it should only have a moisture content of no more than 6%. In my personal opinion/experience, there is more crap out there than quality, which is giving the briquette a bad name.
  11. Riko trailer looks quite long. Impressive, but a bit long. What length I yours R5? Does the crane lift a bag with ease?
  12. Crane on the truck or trailer? I ideally want a crane on a 12x5 trailer. 3 bags long, and probably 2 high, and 2 bags on the truck. Its all money, money, money. It would save time though, and tine is money
  13. Mesh sides, like an Ifor Williams trailer.
  14. How many bags do you get on your trailer? I can get 7 cube loose, or 3 bags. 7 cube can be split into 2 bays of 3.5 cube. 3.5 cube loose on the pick up, or 2 bags. The more the better
  15. Everyone been busy selling?
  16. How long is it? (the log deck)
  17. Maybe not the best pic, but you get the idea
  18. Hakki Pilke Hakkifeed 472 log deck I will have a pic on the computer somewhere, might take some time though.....
  19. Hakki Pilke Hakkifeed 472 log deck
  20. I think it was nearer 6, but don't remember for certain. It will last a life time though. I often work alone, so speeds things up alot.
  21. Oh you never stop. I have a 3 chain log deck, cost an arm and three legs, but wouldn't be without it. I can fit approx 6 or 7 cube on it. Mine isn't fixed to the ground, so if it gets a knock, if ducks you right up.
  22. Police round here have been targeting cars towing large trailers and doing them because there is an possibility to over load the car. Heard of a few guys getting done
  23. 8 way split on an 800 log? That's alot of resplitting
  24. £55 for pulp? That's madness
