  1. She tried tegretol earlier in the year it did stop the pain very well like you say but it turns out she is allergic to it! Gave her a rash like chicken pox! She's on I carbamazepine now which helps to a point. We've got to go to Sheffield in the new year to see a specialist. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. Pleased for you as I would not wish it on anyone. When it's bad it makes everyone around her suffer too! I know she can't help it but it's draining on us. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. That rings true for me as well! My wife has suffered from face pain for years. Felt like toothache but after X-rays cat scans etc no joy. Finally found out it's trimenial neuralgia (spelt wrong!) Hopefully operable but it will have been going on for 8 years by march. They have been good since diagnosis but before..... This was after paying to have a private consultation in august this year after getting fed up of waiting. Still glad it worked well for eggs
  4. If you google "pay4later stihl" You will find other dealers offering the same finance deal. Might not be the same prices but you may find a dealer close enough
  5. Even if they got rid of the tax it would still be mega expensive IMO
  6. Is that not what power stations do?
  7. Where that from? I was looking for just a flatbed dropside transit but can't find a price close to the Nissan.
  8. I'm getting one in the new year not for Arb work but I think they are as good as any other flatbed type 3.5 tonne. I'm leasing one as they are cheap as chips (at least I think they are) £145 plus VAT a month. That's for a standard non tipping dropside lwb single cab
  9. One offs are ok as you say. You can make a decent return on them. Also try to price everything by the job not by the hour.
  10. That's why I don't do much domestic stuff now. At least with commercial stuff you can earn a living.
  11. Loads round here doing "gardening" for £10-£12 an hour always pop up in may. Just working out of cars some do a reasonable job but they all disappear by about September. Don't bother trying to compete just do my own thing
  12. That's bloody confusing (the article in the link!)
  13. JB weld do that kind too. Useful for a quick fix when on site
  14. If you are a subby in the tree game don't you need ropes and saws and transport etc too?
  15. And here's me thinking it is all Eastern Europeans working for nowt in the building trade
  16. Have you managed to deal with it without ripping it all up?
  17. So why do trailer manuals say you must chock the wheel if on anything other than flat ground?
  18. No I do that's not what I meant! I was only meaning having an arrangement by ourselves with the USA not through Europe
  19. We don't want a Europe-US trade deal we need a U.K.-US trade deal
  20. Depends if your talking Tesco or independent Iocal shop I suppose It's about volume of sales though isn't it. If you are selling 25 a week of something for example you need more margin than selling 5000. There is no one fits all
  21. If you had a shop and sold something that cost you £10 for £14 you would be bankrupt
  22. He's a bloody handy chap to have around!
  23. You could try Lms at wellingore too. Bit of a trek but worth a phone call
  24. But YOU are costing the boss a lot more than the £90 you get. Your boss has to pay your holidays your kit your ppe sick pay etc etc Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. But the freelance isn't costing twice as much as someone else said earlier( sick pay holiday pay NI tax equipment etc) all costs you don't have. Are you stacked out with work? If you are then he's in the position that he needs to get work out the way asap. If you really feel like he won't let you move forward then you may have to leave get a new job/go on your own
