    That does not work now though does it? (At least I don't think it does). And you did advocate deceiving the bank as they say in the small print that you can't run it as a business account(4 banks I know of do this as I/we have personal accounts with them!) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    No it's the voice of someone who does not want a bank account shut down on them with all the problems that can bring! Just because you never got caught does not mean others won't.     It doesn't matter at all! Just keeping stuff separate and using a business account will make life easier if they do come looking at your accounts. Also you really should not be using a personal account for business as it's not allowed by the banks (look in the terms of personal accounts those of you who are advocating doing it!) besides that if you can't afford a few quid a month to pay for it you are doing something wrong.     That does shed a different light on it. I don't think anyone is saying your a bad person and possibly too far in the other direction as far as clients go! I used to do the same but after 8 years it got to the stage of charge more and do less. I did lose a lot of clients but it did not matter as the higher rates from having less but better paying clients made up the difference and allowed for more investment which again allowed higher prices (well similar price but much faster) due to efficiency!     It's decent money but if the competition is charging twice that to make it pay (higher overheads etc) why not push it up a bit you will still get the work probably but not be undercutting as much making others seem like they are overcharging when they probably aren't.     That does explain some of it. Estate agents are ime terrible at paying on time, normally wanting a commission even though they are already being paid by the landlord to deal with these things. But it's not mates rates. I do some work for agents and the rates you charge can be high as normally for me as I don't do trees the work is for tidying garden not touched by tenants so being paid for out of deposits. If he wants to quote that he can but he should not try and call it "mates rates" and expect to keep his "mate" Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    That was either to subtle or you ignored it! Anyway the uk has half a chance of not letting them in but Europe hasn't imo. The land border is too big and once in the EU they can roam free. And even if the EU did a trump and stoped them coming do you really think it would stop them coming? They would simply sneak across the border in the middle of nowhere and then roam free. How are we pandering to them? Israel are not best placed to tell us how to deal with it really are they? How safe is it there? I know I would not move my family there.
