  2. That's fairly modern by my standards 1984! Thought you meant 1884!!! Now that would be old .before they had chainsaws ouch a dismantle with a bow saw that would be good to see!! Mm mm

  4. If you file a tooth then tap the file on the vise it dumps the filings out and helps keep the file cutting.a twist when filing is good if not turn the file between teeth to even out wear .
  5. I think I will.I am more thinking to buy one for the parts so that I can build a splitter to mount on skid steer for busting up big rings.I don't like the lack of table in horizontal mode.I think it could be improved somewhat..thanks chaps for your imputs
  6. anyone got one??? and if so what are your thoughts.they seem cheap for what you get .or are they made in china and a bit soft???spoke to them today an they seem to be selling a few machines and just put an ad on arb trader.

  8. Has anyone fed billets through a bilke processor.?seems the ideal way to cut them ...or do you get a load of kindling?

  12. I just put it on top of a pile of logs .add a size 12 boot and go for it .not the safest but if you are confident with a saw no probs.
  13. Akro have 2tracked grinders about £200 a day to hire though.they have a tendency to mount massive cutters on their machines though which can be soreon machine and operator .last time iI hired one the exhaust ran a cherry red colour before it melted!! Oh and they like dinking pectol!!!

  15. How much do you want to spend?I have on with 2\4 and 8 way wedge if your offer was good might be tempted as was going to trade it in against a second processor.

  18. I use one ton bags filled with straw.but brash rankings or sawdust would work too.Jake
  19. did £2k yesterday off to do first load now...i love the snow:thumbup:done nearly 75 ton in january alone this year

No worries here have back up plan four wheel drive tractor plus snowplow ..not been beaten yet .transit comes out when it can..had a cheky customer the other day as I cleared three miles of snow two feet deep to deliver a cube of logs .she said as I left oh good now my regular log man can get up drive...cheeky bit..h
  22. Logs going out like there's no tomorrow .just done 12 loads today.. And more tomorrow .will need to start cutting some more soon as shed is looking bare.now.
