  2. how expensive (as everything is possible nowadays)would it be to convert hydraulic spool valves to an electric contolled block,so there would be no need to lug block and pipes in and out of cab,this would also save the damage caused to rear cross member an the need to keep back window open ...air con working at last'i suppose one would need spool block and joystics .have seen hiab operators with cordless systems this could be good too.any ideas anyone:confused1:

  5. i use processor for small stuff,then the big bits go through the 30 to splitmaster in 4 foot length untill they fit in processor.the major 14 ton machine is good for knotty and twisted lumps,and on site use.not the extended bottom plate ..why do manufactures give you foot square plates to work with ?
  6. i have a farmi wp 36(for sale at the moment)and i use multi cut chain on it , goes for days between sharpenings unless you hit metal.mud dont seem to bother it.an it uses about a gallon of oil per 100 tons better than a chainsaw!:thumbup:
  7. customers who want 6 trees topped ,then say just do 4 as its too dear.then when you do the job say you coulnt just do those two:confused1:for the same money.answer is do the 4 an:thumbup::thumbup:d then say its £100 per hour from now
  8. i use 6 inch boards and the gap is the thickness if my hammer head saves messing about with a spacer or tape measure:thumbup:
  9. woodchip is good i did mine with some and the kids love it , and it was free.i did mine with cypress chips and the green foliage makes it nice and soft.and a good way to get rid of a ugly hedge!!

    my dad had a 07s weighed a ton no chain break needed as it was so heavy getting it up was the problem.mind you it was lighter than the danarm it replaced.
  11. cabstar is a light truck so you can carry a lot more weight than say a transit
  12. can you do a pto version.mounted on tractor?and what knife choices are there logs on vidio seem quite chunky:laugh1:
  13. it will take about 3 months to kill with roundup spray once a month and when the plant is young.i tried a mixture of roundup and grazon 90 and that worked quite well:thumbup:
  14. i went to caledonian foresty open day on sat ,yes it was quiet but jim watt was in good form and the lads were veru helpfull in demonstrating machines ,but only one at a time.ended up buying a palax 90s and deck.now have a farmi wp36 for sale any one interested?
