  1. No cashed mine in at 200 a ton,not keeping scrap helps keep the caravan dwellers away too!
  2. Its not the distance or time to the job that is important,its the distance home overloaded ,tired and not knowing where the local bobbies like to ambush you,that matter.also if there is chip or logs to remove from site during the working day, can make working at distance a pain, if i am gooing in tractor 25 miles max truck 50 or an hours driving time.but if chip etc to remove try around 10 miles
  3. There are regulations as to the height spacing and brightness for vehicle lights,if you get it WRONG you may be in trouble with the vosa boys.ps dont ask me what the regs are
  4. Get two pairs a pair of noras for farm work,cold but you can wash them out and they dry in no time,and a pair of husky boots for when you need a chainsaw.i wouldn't like to wear chainsaw boots for general farm work.
  5. Done 10 loads (24 cube) today and out again tomorrow,frost has been here most of last week.hope oil price stays low or else I will need to get my finger out!!
  6. Buy a still can and flog the fuel spout to someone on here and use the oil spout for mix and no spout for oil.
  7. I used the old type cans for years lost count of fuel spouts I replaced.got fed up waiting for new one to come out and bought 2 still ones. ..brilliant and you can see the fuel levels easily. Glad I dint buy a new husky one now.and I never use aspen as my two 395s can munch 10 litres a day in mix so couldn't afford anything but pump fuel.
  8. I use about 3 cube a month in a drafty and non insulated farmhouse. In two wood burners of about 8 kw each
  9. I could supply hardwood logs air dried for £130 plus a pound a mile delivery,2.4 cube loose on a tipper.or bulk bags from 80 pound a cube plus delivery.jake

  14. Sunny all day here so filled 40 cube bags of logs had lunch fell asleep then Mrs came home with a headache so no bonk now I am jealous!!!!!
  15. Are buoyancy aids fireproof? Silly me forgot about her.maybe hire a lifeguard off baywatch
  16. Hire it to him with operator for £60 an hour and count the pennies.then see if he can compete on price.or offer to buy his stock of logs for a pitiifull amount as you are sold out.
  17. Maybe there will be plenty of divorces sooon .and mountains of lightly used kit on the market.. So us poor guys can grab a bargain!!!!!
  18. Try soaking normal chainsaw trousers in a pail of water at regular intervals during the working day......sorry that didn't help:thumbup:
