  1. Buy a still can and flog the fuel spout to someone on here and use the oil spout for mix and no spout for oil.
  2. I used the old type cans for years lost count of fuel spouts I replaced.got fed up waiting for new one to come out and bought 2 still ones. ..brilliant and you can see the fuel levels easily. Glad I dint buy a new husky one now.and I never use aspen as my two 395s can munch 10 litres a day in mix so couldn't afford anything but pump fuel.
  3. I use about 3 cube a month in a drafty and non insulated farmhouse. In two wood burners of about 8 kw each
  4. I could supply hardwood logs air dried for £130 plus a pound a mile delivery,2.4 cube loose on a tipper.or bulk bags from 80 pound a cube plus delivery.jake

  13. Sunny all day here so filled 40 cube bags of logs had lunch fell asleep then Mrs came home with a headache so no bonk now I am jealous!!!!!

  15. Hire it to him with operator for £60 an hour and count the pennies.then see if he can compete on price.or offer to buy his stock of logs for a pitiifull amount as you are sold out.

  17. Try soaking normal chainsaw trousers in a pail of water at regular intervals during the working day......sorry that didn't help:thumbup:

  21. Tom d has a hazzlehack might need to get a demo.thought about a farming one is that foolish?I know you get what you pay for.are there any advantages of looking a a static machine built next to dryer or PTO power which could do more than one site??
  22. What size chipper for 300 horses?my Max diameter could be down to 18 inch.anything bigger will be broken down with digger and cracker.what's the best chipper??
  23. Now would that need a air conditioned cab for you to sit in ,as I would beel bad dragging you out of your cosy office and leather chair!!!
  24. A local estate is planning a new biomass unit. 3 boilers and a chip drying plant to heat approx a dozen houses. My interest is that I would like to get involved in the timber forwarding(have timber trailer and tractor).chipping first thinning ...what is the best chipper in size and with respect to chip quality.I have a to 760 chipper which is old but runs,and I know will not do a good job.how many horse power do I need to run chipper.or what is a sensible contractors rate to produce chip in tonnes/ cubic metres/ hourly rate? Should I jump or let someone else get the work.prelimary figures suggested 200-250 tonnes a year. Sensible replys welcome,advice taken and leg pulling will of course .
